The whole thing about drinks at the Afterlife being named after legends of Night City, and Adam Smasher existing are all part of one of the really great rules of the Cyberpunk TTRPG: No good endings in Night City. The rulebook explicitly states that Adam Smasher isn’t a balanced character, even a fully stocked and prepared end-game crew will just be wiped out by him because he’s essentially a force of nature. He exists to reinforce the fact that there’s always a bigger fish, and there’s no such thing as actually defeating the corps. If you hit Arasaka’s bottom line too hard, you get Smashed. Adam Smasher is a campaign-ender, he exists to crush the party at the end of their finale heist, and then the next campaign everyone makes their drinks at the Afterlife named after their last character.
