A blanket ban on reuse of single use devices in Indian healthcare will increase costs & produce large amounts of waste. The cost of reused products is split between patients. As in many countries a standardized resterilization protocol & facility is the need. Not a ban.

Members of three Christian families were allegedly assaulted inside their homes by people identified by the victims and witnesses as members of the Bajrang Dal. The women were allegedly beaten, their clothes torn and some of them stripped to the point of partial nudity. Minor girls were not spared either, the families alleged.
The incident, an attempt at religious persecution, took place in Patlapur village, under Chandrakona police station in West Bengal's Paschim Medinipur district, amid the Durga Puja festivities. The families said they faced sustained attacks and intimidation over three consecutive days.

Here's a live example. While YSRCP MPTC candidates were submitting their nomination papers for Local Body Elections to the election officer, TDP leader entered the election officer's room, snatches nomination forms from the hands of the returning officer and discards them.
A record of over 22,800 nominations have been filed for the urban local body elections across Andhra Pradesh. Candidates from every party, every community and every corner of the state have stepped forward. Democracy in Andhra Pradesh is alive and thriving.
Those who cry foul before a single vote is cast should remember: elections are won in the field, not at press meets. Face the people, the people will decide.
