Earlier, Tamil Nadu Minister Nirmal Kumar admitted that the local police handling the case had committed a lapse.
In his complaint seeking DGPโs intervention Prof Kalaiarasan wrote โI felt deeply harassed and humiliated by the way I was treated, without being given even a reasonable opportunity to explain myself.โ

A couple of things happened in Adyar over the past week. A murder was committed in broad daylight on a busy road and the killers escaped on a bike. A professor was arrested by the cops over a fake post where someone used his picture. Interesting law and order priorities there.
