Funnily enough, I was in the pub last night with my British mate. We managed to get through a whole night of drinking without saying anything racist or misogynst. Probably because we are not racist or misogynistic!

Looks like selling Royal Mail to a Czech billionaire worked out every bit as well as selling our water system to an Australian investment bank and our steel industry to an Indian multinational

Laura Kuenssberg - who is paid over £400k a year - asks Andy Burnham where the money to pay for social care will come from. One obvious answer would be higher taxes on people paid over £400k a year.

Bowie and the Tom Robinson Band made me question homophobia, hanging out at reggae gigs helped me reject my parents' racism, hearing The Clash drew me towards leftwing politics. And now now Laura Kuenssberg is questioning whether musicians should take political stances?

The beauty of the sport. Reunited with someone who means so much to me, someone I deeply admire and will always hold close to my heart. ❤️
When winger Ryan Gondoh returned to Lewes FC in August, the happiest person to hear the news was Susie, an ardent supporter of the club for 25 years. During his first spell as a Rook, Ryan visited Susie on matchdays, helping her to walk to and from the ground and ensuring she had everything she needed to enjoy the game. Two years later, the pair are happily reunited. Here’s their story 🔴⚫️

Felt - "Primitive Painters" (1985). This jangle pop/post-punk track is famous for its shimmering, interlocking guitars and hypnotic vibe. It's an absolute standout thanks to the collab with Cocteau Twins icons Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie.

Eric Ravilious was killed #OTD in 1942 when the aircraft he was in during a search & rescue mission off Iceland failed to return. From the countryside to war, his depiction of Britain in the 30s & early years of #WW2 remain an incredible legacy, decades after his death.
