Dickinson ISD is proud to recognize the Dickinson High School Athletic Hall of Honor Class of 2026! Join us this Friday to honor our former Gators! 🏅David Brown was a four-year football letterman, team captain, and All-District quarterback who earned a scholarship to Texas Tech. He was also a four-year basketball letterman and captain, helping lead the Gators to the 1955 state championship game. And if that weren't enough, David lettered all four years in both baseball and track! After college, David returned to Dickinson as a teacher and assistant principal before beginning a 30-year career as a college professor. 🏅Karissa Ferree who excelled both in track and basketball, a multiple-time district champion in track and cross country, Karissa set the Dickinson High School record in the 800 meters and qualified for regional competition in multiple events. She was also an All-District basketball player, a member of a district championship team, and was named Dickinson's Top Female Runner. Her achievements earned her national recognition and an invitation to compete in the National Scholar Athlete Games. Karissa's competitive spirit continues today through marathons, triathlons, and Ironman competitions. 🏅Ivory Wade one of the most accomplished offensive linemen in Dickinson football history. He earned All-State and All-American honors and was ranked among the nation's top offensive line prospects. He was also one of only five Gators to earn First-Team All-District honors three consecutive years. His outstanding high school career earned him a full scholarship to Baylor University, where he became a Freshman All-American and later earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors. Ivory also excelled in the classroom, earning recognition on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll three times. 🏅Brad Woodard one of the most decorated running backs in Dickinson Gator football history. Brad's outstanding 2014 senior season earned him County Player of the Year and District Co-Most Valuable Player honors. He was also named First-Team All-County, First-Team All-District, and Third-Team All-State, establishing himself as one of the area's premier running backs.

A vision years in the making is now a reality! Today, current and former Dickinson ISD leaders shared the story of the CTE Center—from its earliest plans to the opportunities it will create for future Gators. We were proud to recognize our first two partners on the CTE Gator Wall of Distinction: the Dickinson Chamber of Commerce, whose generous $20,000 contribution supports this vision, and McRee Ford, whose generous $10,000 contribution will help make an impact for our students. The celebration also included a special surprise for Jim Rubach, Executive Director of Facility Planning and Construction, who has dedicated his life to building schools for Dickinson ISD. In honor of his lasting legacy, the event center will now be known as Rubach Hall. Thank you to the community partners and officials who joined us, to our 2023 bond voters, and to the entire Dickinson community for supporting this project. The CTE Center represents an amazing opportunity for Dickinson High School students—and we’re excited to see what they accomplish here! 💙🐊 View more photos: dickinsonisd.smugmug.com/CTE…
