I spent the day in much of a conundrum. It felt gross being in a place of such pain & running around being all tourist. I kept thinking of this clip I took of @peggyflanagan right after Secretary Haaland was sworn in,& it reminded me of the work we have got to do & why I am here. – at Washington, DC

listen to the end if you can. cuz if your ears hurt to hear these words, you gotta dig deep to figure out why that is. however, i will say that it is not our responsibility to bring that light to you. too much is put on us to find this for those, and it can be, & has been…

There were sooo many moments that captured my heart and my attention when I was given the opportunity to walk with Deb Haaland during the 113th Northern Navajo Fair Parade. This was but one of those moments – at Shiprock, NM

Spent the last 6 years pouring myself into someone who essentially refused to grow. If you have an interest, DM me 1: Must love farming/gardening 2: Must love learning & always want to be learning 3: Must want kids 4: Preferably a person of color (but not a requirement)

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a time to honor the generations of Indigenous people whose strength, resilience, and leadership continue to shape our communities. As a proud Pueblo woman, I carry the lessons of the women who came before me in everything I do. They helped shape the leader I am today and taught me the importance of making sure our voices are heard in the decisions that affect our people. I’m committed to honoring their legacy by uplifting Indigenous communities and leaving the ladder down for the next generation to lead, thrive, and forge their own path.

🚨 All eyes on the border wall blockade at Camp O:ṣhad in Lochiel, AZ. This morning, over 50 Border Patrol / BORTAC agents raided the resistance camp, entering private property without a warrant, attacking land defenders, and deploying a cherry-picker to extract the tree sitter.

BREAKING: DHS contractors are toppling the last of four ancient cottonwoods to build double border walls across the San Rafael Valley. The wall cuts through the key remaining wildlife corridor for endangered jaguars between Arizona and Sonora, where human border crossings are seldom seen. A protest camp had occupied and protected this tree for more than 60 days, halting construction. The camp was raided and campers were arrested this morning. This wall will effectively lock the remaining jaguars in the U.S. into solitary confinement, while permanently marring one of the last remaining wild places along the Arizona border.
