And beyond the sessions exists a whole community to experience.
A conversation with a speaker could give you new perspective(s). Meeting someone outside your circle could introduce you to a new field, idea or opportunity.
And you don’t have to be the most outgoing person to make good conversations.

And finally, what happens after the event matters, too.
Revisit your notes, follow up with the people you met and explore the ideas that caught your attention. The right conversation could become something much bigger with time.
Two days can offer a lot. The interesting part is discovering what you’ll take away from yours.

Over a billion people live with some form of disability. Yet most of the technology we build still wasn’t designed with them in mind. ♿
At #Devfestlagos , Charles Ayere , Founder of EyeGuide Vision, will make the case that accessibility can’t be a feature added later. It has to be part of the foundation.
In his session, “Inclusive By Design: Scaling Accessibility Tech For The Next Billion Users,” Charles will speak about what it takes to build products that work for people of all abilities.
Drawing on his experience building EyeGuide Vision, he’ll share lessons on designing with, not just for, the people who need these tools most.

AI can help junior developers learn faster, explain complex concepts and even debug their code.
But could it also make it easier to skip the fundamentals?
We want to hear from you 🫵
Do you think AI is making junior developers better, or are we becoming too dependent on it?
Pick a side in the comments.
Finally, get into rooms where people are building
There’s only so much you can learn from your screen. So get into rooms where people are building products, sharing ideas, solving problems and having conversations about the future of tech.
That’s one of the reasons we have DevFest Lagos. It’s a conference that seeks to bring people together, whether you’re already in tech or just getting started.
But tell us, what advice would you give to some one starting out?
Hey newbie 👋🏽
So, you’ve decided to take the leap and start your tech career. We know it can feel overwhelming at first, so here are a few tips from us to make the journey a little easier.
1. don’t try to learn everything.
Tech is huge. Pick a direction that interests you, learn the basics, and give yourself room to explore. You can always change direction later.
2. Learn, but don’t get stuck learning.
It’s easy to spend months taking courses, watching tutorials and saving resources. At some point, you have to actually make something with what you’ve learned.
3. Build proof of work.
Don’t just say you can do something. Give people something to look at. A project. A case study. A design. An article. A campaign. A GitHub repo.
Something that shows what you can actually do.
A lot of people think tech simply means coding, so they spend months trying to learn how to code before they even consider any other thing.
But there’s so much to do that doesn’t involve coding, such as product management, UI/UX design, marketing, sales, community, customer success, technical writing and so much more.
So If coding isn’t your thing, that doesn’t make you less of a techie. You just need to find your niche and where your skills fit.
Angular has evolved greatly over the last few years. So there’s no reason for you to be stuck in the ancient ways of managing state and forms when there’s so much modern angular can actually do.
@babatundelmd , Engineering Manager at Flutterwave and a Google Developer Expert in Angular, is bringing an intense and elaborate session to DevFest Lagos: “Signals, Resources, And Signal Forms: Composing Modern Angular End-To-End.”
He’ll walk through how signals, resources, and signal forms fit together to give Angular developers a cleaner, more predictable way to manage state and build forms, from the tiniest component to a fully composed application.

Elections generate a wide range of information and sometimes, we do not know which is true or which to trust.
At DevFest Lagos, @gabbyagbobli , Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Google Cloud, will show how AI agents can help us navigate through that entire chaos.
In his session, “Building A Trustworthy AI Agent For Election Intelligence With ADK And The Antigravity Harness,” Gabriel will walk us through how he built an AI agent designed for election intelligence, using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) alongside the Antigravity Harness to keep the agent grounded, accountable and trustworthy.

To meet one Ai agent working well is easy. But getting hundreds of them to run reliably at scale, is a different wahala entirely.
At DevFest Lagos, @Greyisheep , Head of Engineering at Dockie, will discuss this exact challenge.
In his session, “Horizontally Scaling Agentic Systems With Google ADK On Kubernetes,” Claret will show how to take agentic systems built with Google’s Agent Development Kit and scale them horizontally on Kubernetes, without losing reliability or control as the system grows.

Writing integration tests for Flutter apps can suck up just as much time as building the app itself. But what if you could actually skip the code entirely?
At DevFest Lagos, @H3ndrick_ , Senior Mobile Engineer at Snag, will show a different way to approach Flutter testing.
In his session, “The Agentic Shift: Building Zero-Code Flutter Integration Tests With Gherkin And Marionette,” Sebastine will demonstrate how combining Gherkin’s plain-language test syntax with Marionette can let teams write robust integration tests without writing a single line of test code.
Imagine not getting a chance to experience this?
