My grandmother was introverted and never outwardly showed affection. Every year my father would get her pots and pans other kitchen gadgets for her birthday. My grandfather was a socialite, gregarious and outgoing. One day my grandfather died…
My grandmother became a whole new person. She smiled, said I love you and turned out to be funny as heck. One day she said your grandfather was a lying, cheating scumbag and I suffered in silence but we were the new generation and we hugged her.
Any other moms out here wondering how the hell they’re supposed to: navigate global chaos, watch grocery bills skyrocket, work full-time,
do the unpaid project management of an entire household, carry the invisible mental load, remember every pediatrician, dentist, therapist, and school spirit day, not miss their own doctor’s appointments, raise kind, emotionally regulated humans in a deeply unserious world, hold powerful men accountable for horrific abuse, AND still find time to take care of themselves? Oh, and do all of this without burning out, complaining, or asking for support. 🤦🏽♀️ What in the actual hell 🤯

I’m in an interracial marriage.
And by the grace of God, it is not just good, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥.
All men are created in the image of the one God, endowed with the same rational soul, and equal in dignity. Race is no barrier to the sacrament of Matrimony.
Anyone claiming interracial unions are “sub-ideal” is not speaking truth. They’re peddling worldly prejudice dressed up as piety.
It’s gross and contrary to the unity of the human family redeemed by Christ.

I’m sick of explaining how people can end up on benefits. I’ll say it again. I had a partner, we had a beautiful family, we could afford our lives. But my partner got sick and died. I was on my own with four kids, 3yr, 5yr, 6yr and 15yrs old. I couldn’t afford childcare, I didn’t have family to help, we were grieving. That’s how we ended up on benefits. Life can be cruel and good for you if you haven’t been through some shit but a lot of us have. All we want is a helping hand, not a punching down. So fuck you to all who judge and don’t know what TF you’re talking about. You’re only ever one tragedy from needing help. I only hope it never happens to you.

Couldn’t respond because the original poster blocked me because I told the story of my cousins who were assaulted by Christians so I’ll respond here.

Well, of course there are no stories like that in "the big city".
Additionally, by the very FACT that physical or SA having occurred by its very definition shows that these were NOT "Christian"s. Evil disguised as light to gain ACCESS to INNOCENCE. Wolves cloaked as Sheep.
Virginia Guiffre gave her life to try to find peace and justice. So many of the survivors are lobbying to release the files when they are the files. Not one has the courage to name the perpetrators. Sad that Virginia’s death will be in vain.

Your mom didn’t set a good example for you. Putting your hands on anyone is egregious. Sometimes I feel that people don’t realize how much violence they are exposed to as “normal” and it’s sad. My mom always had my back at school but didn’t hurt anyone.
