Just 36 days since Vikram-1 launched, the hardware for our next launch is en route to the launch site. Team Skyroot keeps building and building—from India for the world. 🚀🔥
Just over a month ago, Vikram-1 reached orbit on its very first flight. 🚀 Today, on #NationalSpaceDay, Stage 1 for our second Vikram-1 is already on its way to the spaceport at Sriharikota — beginning our next journey to orbit. From one flight to the next. Onwards & Upwards. 🇮🇳🚀

At its peak, Sun Microsystems was valued at 205B (394B if inflation adjusted). Sold software in enterprise servers. Got disrupted by Linux, x86, and commodity hardware. Ended up selling to Oracle for 7.4B, losing 96% of its value. Open source models running on local hardware can have a similar impact given what’s going on.

This is big: all access to Mythos and Fable AI models disabled for everyone outside America. First thoughts: 1. Technology is the ultimate weapon. National sovereignty, national security, all of it is now about technology. 2. Globalization is dead and Bharat must find her own way ahead. We must keep these two ideas in mind. What can our government do right now? Ensure that orgs in India embrace smaller models, both Indian and Chinese open source ones. With a bit of effort, we can make them work. Anyway, why pay money to people who don't even want to sell to you? We must deepen our R&D. Sarvam has been on it and we have been on it but remember that the latest models cost not only huge GPU budgets to train, the GPUs themselves are restricted. So we can't afford the scale of money (of the order of $100+ billion to even get in the game!) and even if we could come up with the money, we can't get all the GPUs. I would not like to ask the government to fund tens of billions of dollars on this anyway - the money has far better uses. Zoho has been pursuing alternative R&D approaches that are far, far less expensive but by its nature cutting edge R&D takes time and we are patient. I am confident we will get there. Any remaining people in India who have delusions about globalization should wake up now.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Your #1 motivation at work should be money. Remember, you live in a capitalist society, and if you don't have money, then you cannot even die peacefully. So earn respectfully.

It is high time for people from Tier - 2, Tier - 3 cities, keep connected to your native home, build a new house or fix the old. This will be a real luxury given the problems in the metro cities of the India. Things have changed and you can have everything back home.

nationalism need not be your GTM strategy. - build something people want - build something people love - build something people would pay for nationalism has always been a slippery slope.

If you are a Framer expert, checkout framerkit. We, (me and Siddharth) added 100s of components to easily remix into your projects, style it according to your project's theme and built webapps faster. Also all of the components (~300 components) currently on Framer kit are completely free and pro version is in the works and will launch soon. If you are excited about, comment below and let me know. That will give me a big boost, help me cope with imposter syndrome (still a lot to learn in Framer world) and will do my best to launch it faster and share it with everyone here.

Unpopular opinion: Most startups don't need Kubernetes until they have 100+ engineers. What you actually need: - Render, Fly.io, or Railway - Managed database - Simple CI/CD - Total setup time: 2 hours What you're doing instead: - 3 months learning K8s - $15K/month in infrastructure - 2 engineers just managing clusters - Features delayed But K8s looks good on your resume.

As a software engineer, it's very important to learn about Gall’s Law, which states that complex systems cannot be created successfully from scratch. In reality, even large systems, such as Netflix, Google, or Facebook, have started small and built incrementally over the course of decades.

Track everything. Your time, your thoughts, your habits, your sleep, your words. What you don’t measure, you don’t master. Progress isn’t accidental, it’s audited. Treat your life like a high-performance machine, and you'll stop living like everyone else.

Why is bun install so fast? Bun treats package installation as a systems programming problem. Minimize syscalls, use OS-native copy-on-write, cache manifests as binary, parallelize across all cores, and so much more Read the full deep dive👇 bun.com/blog/behind-the-scen…
