Why build your own software factory. Use ours. The bet: LLMs made code cheap. Shipping complex engineering? Still hard. More AI (models, agents, harnesses, infra++) means MORE engineers, fewer coders. The Software Factory, for every business. 👇
We’ve spent 15 years building software for global brands. Now we’re upgrading how you buy it. Software Factory by Scrums.com. AI-native software development, on subscription. Senior engineers. Any task. Cancel anytime. BACKLOG → DONE. scrums.com/factory

z-ai/glm-5.3 just became the most used model in our gateway for enterprise AI across EMEA clients. The EU corporate lip service is not mathing. Reminds me of Taleb: "Don't tell me what you think, show me what you have in your portfolio."

Sat on a panel a few weeks ago. CEOs of Telkom, Standard Bank CIB, and Scrums.com Lots of the questions from the crowd were about AI and jobs. It's been almost four years. If you're not an institution and you're still asking, it's probably coming for you. Worrying doesn't help. Learn fast, go deep, solve hard problems.

We had a Finance team of 7. In 30 days we'll have 0. 🤣 We tried A LOT. A fleet of Xeros wired together. Intuit Enterprise. Kubera on the personal side. Rillet/QuickBooks/Acumatica/MSFT365. Context: 15 year old company with enterprise complexity without enterprise budgets. 400 people. Payroll in 5 countries. 20+ entities. 4 brands. 4 countries tax authorities. Subsidiaries. Minority investments. Multi-level, multi-currency consolidation at different book levels. Tons of Forex. Tons of different banks. Transfer fees. Weird rev rec contracts. Depreciation schedules. We're confident the system handles $100m ARR and can take us to at least $1B. Total cost ~$30k per year. Everything is code. 1. We wanted the largest, most mature API estate with full access. That's Sage Intacct Cloud. The clunky UI "old software" didn't matter (no one logs in). Intacct gave us history + stable API primitives at a fraction of "large ERP" cost. We only need 2 real users, so seat fees barely matter. 2. Everything in a single GitHub repo. Repo-scoped credentials with the same controls as bank access. Every rule / workflow / exception / change is version controlled. GitHub history is MORE auditable than most accounting systems. Code as a system of record is undefeated. 3. We kept the finance task board (Jira / Clickup / Slack). Recurring tasks / escalations / close / department reports / payment release alerts. Agents now run it. 4. Each agent has a fixed role: AP / AR / Treasury / Pricing / Controller / Internal Audit / CFO. Repo rules + scoped API access enforce the boundaries. No agent has blanket access. 5. Kept normal email boundaries: suppliers@ / accounts@ / collections@ / banks@. No humans touch these inboxes. Ingestion is automatic, PDFs are scraped, every account gets checked. New vendors have chatbot approval + bank checks. Everything lands in Intacct every 24 hours. 6. The agent repo runs long-running routines + model checks. Runtimes in Vercel segregated per agent. Devin runs it. Claude executes. Codex checks. Gemini reviews. The result hits the DB. Hermes-style agentic learning. Separation of duties still matters when the workers are Cloudflare workers. 7. Every event goes into Postgres. Yes, some of it duplicates the accounting system. Postgres = operational backend. Intacct = the ledger that keeps us employed by our Board and out of jail. 8. Scrums.com underneath as the AI enterprise connector: MCP gateway / agent gateway / context lake / control plane. (If you're small, probably unnecessary. If you're big, it's 100x cheaper than a CFO or 1000x cheaper than an ERP implementation.) 9. We automated tax calc + optimisation / KYC packs to every bank every 90 days / reconciliations / collections / cash / intercompany / FX / consolidation / capital calls / payments / dunning / liability schedules etc. 10. Finance is legible to everyone. Every department lead + external shareholder gets a read-only MCP scoped to what they can see. They ask their own chatbots whatever they want. Reports / scorecards / budgets go straight to board + banks + investors. None of this is deterministic. It's intelligent. It handles the edge cases. It is more accurate than our team. It's a dream to drive. My stretch goal for close + reporting: 01:00 on the 1st of every month. One hour for agents / APIs / inboxes / reports to fire and land. Our last FM has 1 more close period hardening the rules through an audit, then she moves to another role. Then the accounting team is 0. Software + AI + agents. Sorted. PS: If you have the one-click version of this, DM me. PPS: The finance team kept shrinking because I forced 2 ERP migrations in 3 years chasing this. That's on me. PPPS: I still think one person needs to drive this. My gut says hire a Chad-level performance marketer who has never done finance, who'll squeeze every last cent of optimisation and scale out of the business by watching the numbers like a cracked Meta ad account.
Legit company CEOs/CFOs: Who has actually been able to automate accounting processes reliably with AI? If so, which tools are you using?

Opus is nerfed and Fable has stricter limits, all while Astra launches. Bold strategy cotton. Upselling the 900M+ freemium users is more important than the 1% of users that post on the timeline.
This is GPT-6 Astra. Anything you can do on a computer, Astra can do for you. Fast.

Looks like it. Elon Musk was born in South Africa and they let him fly rockets into space. As scary as this looks, this is practiced talent by the South African pilots. 🇿🇦 Well done @Fly_Airlink for reminding the world that skill still matters more than talking heads and online committees.
Is this plane in ground effect off the roof of the stadium?
