Word to the wise if you're prepping to go on parental leave or have a team member who is... it's the most pivotal experience of your entire career. Having a baby is more than taking on extra responsibility with less sleep. It ignites something inside of u…lnkd.in/gV83_P_m
I was let go while pregnant and I remember how terrifying it was to think about the race to get a job before I started showing or landing somewhere and not qualifying for paid mat leave. I ended up miscarrying the following month but was fortunate enough…lnkd.in/gKUKkFK2
I’m stepping back from startup leadership.
(Sort of)
After 16+ years of helping early-stage companies grow, I’ve officially identified the aspect of my work that brings me life; helping high-achieving women thrive.
A year ago, I quit my leadership pos…lnkd.in/dsd9bSqH
Jeff is onto something here.
The idea that our minds are like social feeds with our own unique algorithms.
He talks about consciously contouring your feed’s inputs to control your mindset.
This is one approach but I’d also offer the idea that you mi…lnkd.in/gF_2fHnm
I jumped out of my seat when my C-level client said this last week.
She had just finished raving about how well her quarterly presentation went and was glowing with pride when I asked, “How did your CEO respond?”

There’s an unsaid belief that people who are most successful in business know how NOT to take it personally.
That’s why they aren’t thrown off course. They’re thick-skinned with endless drive and a magical ability to let it all roll off their shoulders.…lnkd.in/gNTDE9iF
“Maybe I should just go take a shower,” my husband said as he complained about a project he was avoiding.
“Or, maybe you should sit down and work on it for a measly 5 minutes,” I replied (using a tactic from my anti-procrastination arsenal).

One foot in front of the other is my mantra these days.
Largely because change is afoot...

So honored to have the support of @johnlegend! Thank you!
San Francisco voters! You should be receiving your absentee ballots any day now. Please consider voting for @chesaboudin for District Attorney. #Boudin4DA
If John Legend says do it then it's probably the right move. Vote Chesa for the candidate who is most genuinely dedicated to turning around SF's homelessness and racial injustice. facebook.com/gfiggy/posts/10…

In SF the police make arrests in less than 2% of *reported* car break-ins. We can't "tough on crime" prosecute our way out of a problem with such low arrest rates. We need to focus on root causes of crime, prevention, and ensuring those we do catch never do it again. #TeamBoudin
