Everyone wants the next HYPE airdrop.
I think the better bet is finding Solana’s next major exchange before it becomes obvious.
That’s why I’m spending time on Phoenix and BULK.
Hyperliquid showed how big an onchain exchange can become.
Solana already has the activity: Allium’s research put it ahead of other chains in RWA spot trading volume over the twelve months to August 18.
My bet is that this creates demand for deeper trading and hedging markets on Solana.
Phoenix and BULK could capture part of that opportunity.
Neither has to become “the next Hyperliquid” for early participation to be worthwhile.
Here’s what makes the setup interesting:
👉 Frontier Traders: Eligible Phoenix volume counts toward volume leaderboards, Reward Crates, and applicable campaigns. Season 1 runs through November 11.
👉 Phoenix referrals: New users get a 10% trading-fee discount. Referrers earn 20% of direct referrals’ fees and 10% from second-tier referrals, within the program’s volume cap.
👉 BULK AURA: Trading AURA determines your Challenger Series league, with weekly USDC rewards for qualifying traders.
👉 BULK referrals: Base tier referrals get a 5% Trading AURA boost. Referrers earn AURA plus 10% of direct referrals’ net fees and 1% from indirect referrals.
So there are several ways participation could pay off, even before assigning any value to a future airdrop.
I built a bot to test paired positions across both venues while aiming to keep directional exposure low.
The number I care about is the actual cost of participating: fees, funding, slippage, and execution losses.
If those costs stay low enough, the combination of campaign rewards, referral income, and potential airdrop upside becomes an interesting asymmetric bet.
That’s the thesis I’m testing, not a proven return.
Points might disappoint.
Rewards depend on eligibility.
A hedge can go wrong.
Still, this is currently one of the most compelling airdrop setups to me.
It is a reason to use the products today, multiple incentive layers, and a bigger market opportunity behind them.
My play is simple: keep participation costs controlled, collect the rewards I qualify for, and build early exposure to exchanges that could benefit from Solana’s next wave of trading activity.
Embrace AI
As someone who works professionally in AI, let me just say a few things:
1) I, much moreso than most everyone else, am hyperaware of just how dangerous these models can be. In fact, I'm giving a presentation on exactly that to a federal entity in a few weeks.
2) I have a 40+ year career in cybersecurity, doing such since long before there was such a term. Hell, I was doing it before firewalls existed.
3) As much as I loathe and despise the frontier model companies (so much so, my family has several pending individual -- not class-action -- lawsuits against a few of them), I recognize this as an international arms race. As such, "punishing" tech firms, particularly AI firms, is so shortsighted as to be suicidal.
I can tell you with certitude that human defenders absolutely cannot keep pace with this new era of AI-assisted, or full AI exploitation of assets.
If we pause AI development in this country, it's a crapshoot which will destroy this country first, a hostile foreign power, or the foreigners who're busy destroying this country from within.
hopium of the day
On today's stock market crash:
As an investor, on days like today, you have to ask yourself one question: What fundamentally changed over the last 24 hours?
The shift in the fundamental backdrop cannot be attributed solely to the Midterm Election results; markets had already largely priced in the outcome.
So, what changed between yesterday and today? What is the fundamental reason for today's decline?
One of the most likely catalysts is growing concern about a potential "ban" on AI, or at the very least, severe regulation of the industry.
Over the last 24 hours, Democratic lawmakers have publicly called for restrictions on advanced AI development, including an outright "ban on artificial superintelligence."
Frankly, an outright ban will not happen.
Such a ban, if even possible to enforce, would effectively mean the US surrendering its position in the global AI race to China.
Does this mean AI is "over" or today's stock market crash marks "the end?" Absolutely not.
Rather, we believe we are witnessing a sudden shift in sentiment colliding with excessive levels of leverage, potentially triggering forced liquidations by several major institutional investors.
Therefore, today's downturn is more technical than fundamental. This is not to discount the concerns around regulation, they are legitimate. But price action right now does not look orderly or rational.
We are in the midst of the biggest technological revolution in human history.
Zoom out and remain calm.
Tldr
Buy or hold

is this an out of season April Fools joke?
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 Democrats face a push for a “day 1” ban on AI superintelligence, with up to 20 YEARS in prison for violators.
Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari says a pause on advanced AI and a ban on artificial superintelligence must be “top of the Democratic agenda on day 1.”
A bill that would do exactly that was introduced by Bernie Sanders and Greg Casar in September.
Under the bill:
- Developing or deploying superintelligent AI would be banned
- Advanced AI development would pause until a new federal regulator sets rules and a model review process
- A new cabinet-level AI department would monitor frontier models and oversee removing dangerous capabilities, like ignoring shutdown commands
- Companies that try to get around it would face the “corporate death penalty”
- Individuals would face up to 20 years in prison
AI and data centers were a “crucial or major factor” for 56% of voters in the midterms, per an NBC News exit poll.
I feel like this is a rotation of capital.
Like reds go out and then once its over blue's start bidding.
That's the only thesis I got.
what are the odds of him going in prison for this rug?
ngl great tool that tracks what Jup doesn't.

600+ AURA from $380k in volume on BULK this week. The results could’ve been better.
My average OI was low for most of the week, and I wasn’t holding positions long enough. Towards the end, I increased my average OI to around $5k with a 30-minute hold time.
Friday’s dump also exposed a problem with my bot: it failed to close one leg of a delta-neutral position. That cost me an extra $100 on top of roughly $100 in trading fees.
Around $200 in total costs, so I’m not happy with the efficiency yet.
On the upside, this week’s AURA allocation moved me up two ranks.
Next week, I’ll focus on more consistent OI, longer holds, and fixing the execution issue. The goal is to improve my cost per AURA and work my way up to Platinum.
I’ll keep sharing the numbers as I fine-tune the setup.
If you want to try BULK, my referral link gives you a Trading AURA boost. 👇

holy f!!!
we are currently on the edge of a thin line here.
It feels like everything on the internet can collapse at any moment.
We identified a security incident affecting a modified Claude Code VS Code extension accessed through our Cursor IDE extension marketplace, impacting at most 5,000 users. This malicious version of the extension was not developed by Anthropic. It does not impact other extensions downloaded from the cursor.com/marketplace, Grok Bot, Grok or our other SpaceXSI products.
In response, we took down our extension marketplace this afternoon, worked with relevant providers to neutralize the malware, and have reinstated the marketplace after confirming there is no further risk.
If affected, please review instructions in this blog post to understand how to find the malicious package and establish a path to mitigate any potential impact. We are asking all customers update to Claude Code for VS Code version 2.1.314: cursor.com/blog/claude-code-…
