Happy #LetterboxdFriday! 🧡💚💙 Time to post your #LastFourWatched 🥳
ALT A still of June Squibb and Fred Hechinger in the movie Thelma. They are both in front of a computer monitor, in a study room. Fred is showing the elderly June something. The screen has a Letterboxd profile photoshopped on to it. There are assorted framed photos on the wall behind them, a lamp on the desk they are at, and assorted stationery. The glow of the screen is illuminating their faces, and there is some light coming in from the window with wooden blinds behind the monitor

This movie is a gift and we should treat it as such. Disassociation and the comfort that can be found within such an act. Ignoring what’s tangible to live eternally in fantasy. It’s less a coming of age film as it is a staying of age, and the horror that comes along with that.
