Absolutely. Celebrities should know better than anyone what media sensationalism and harassment is like.
Participating in that harassment of MJ was undoubtedly a means of them covering up their own controversies, and directing attention to someone else.

This is exactly why I donβt like TII. The more you learn about what was happening behind the scenes, the harder it is to just watch the footage and ignore the fact that Michael needed someone to look out for him.
He needed someone to put him first FOR ONCE, someone who cared about him as a person and not about how much money he could make them π
