People keep crying about Renee Good, but the uncomfortable truth is her own actions put her in that situation. This didn’t happen in a vacuum. High-profile politicians and activists have spent years encouraging people to block ICE, confront agents, and “get in the way.” That rhetoric has pushed regular Americans to break the law, commit felonies, follow ICE agents, box them in, ram vehicles, and physically interfere with arrests. That is not protest. That is criminal behavior. And instead of leaders on the left clearly saying “stop, this is illegal and dangerous,” they stay silent or cheer it on. The result is civilians inserting themselves between armed officers and criminals, putting everyone at risk. And at some point people have got to stop acting like because someone thinks there’s different solutions to the problems that they’re evil because of it. The immigration laws were working under right now were last modified under Bill Clinton, and if you want to go off of history with all the rhetoric that Democrats push the only president and most of our life times that has done anything to give amnesty like real amnesty two illegal immigrants is Ronald Reagan a republican. If people want different immigration laws, protest Congress and the Senate. ICE is enforcing the laws as written. Encouraging chaos and lawbreaking is how innocent people get hurt. Until this senseless fighting stops, we’re never going to sit down and reach a solution. It won’t be perfect and nobody will get everything they want, but there can be real concessions on both sides. What we can’t do is pretend we can fix the entire world by letting everyone come here. That’s not realistic. Some solutions require doing hard things outside our borders. Helping stabilize countries where people are fleeing from costs far less than absorbing millions into the U.S. system. The cost of living is lower, aid goes further, and it actually addresses the root problem. Take Mexico. If the cartel problem were dealt with seriously, you’d see immediate change and far fewer people would feel forced to flee. Everyone knows the U.S. has the capability to cripple the cartels quickly. Helping countries fix problems at home is cheaper, smarter, and more humane than pretending open chaos at the border is a solution.
