where in both, people create systems outside of themselves and surrender some degree of knowledge and agency
placing trust in intelligence we cannot fully see or understand
historically, religious stained-glass objects operated as representations and filters between reality and the realm beyond
so too do @mpkoz’s twelve ‘Believers’
twelve sculptures, each with their own distinct color palette and composition, randomly dictated by code
painstakingly constructed by the artist in physical form
and paired with an associated art object on the @ethereum blockchain

As you can imagine, several of the pieces from Unfinished Past are inspired by my own memories, and naturally a lot of them carry deep personal and emotional meaning for me.
That is why I'm reserving some specific artworks for my own vault, for me to decide whether to remember or to forget them.
Today I want to highlight one piece I'm planning to keep remembering throughout the 7-year duration of this series.
This piece was inspired by my 6th birthday, the first meaningful birthday I remember in my life. An avid reader in my early days, the whole party was themed around Harry Potter, my favorite book series at the time, and of course I came dressed as a wizard.
All of my friends and even my closest cousin came to celebrate, which was pretty meaningful for me, as I had only been attending that school for a couple of months, and my cousin lived four hours away from where I lived. Didn’t even consider it when I was a kid, but in retrospect it was significant.
Something I remember vividly is the home where it took place, which in my mind is the home I grew up in, even if I was there only for four years. The garage opened directly onto a garden that had a massive, god-knows-how-many-years-old tree, with flowers and plants climbing up the walls.
My mother prepared a lot of things herself for the party, and even sewed a Gryffindor patch onto my Hogwarts cloak. She has always been "extra" for those types of things, and it's something I'm deeply grateful for.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, joy and even ended with a Quidditch match (yes, with broomsticks and goal hoops of course).
So yeah, this memory holds a very special place in my heart, and even if I know that with time it will keep altering some details (some of this is probably already wrong lol), the feeling of love will never go away.

Algorithmic Synesthesia CC sells out before reaching public sale, using the new @artblocks_io API minter.
Many thanks to all who minted and participated in the Collector Curation.
With this mint I used an experimental coupon and access mechanic to give my holders deep discounts and time to explore the algorithm before settling on outputs to mint.
It was a whole bunch of DMing, but fun to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.
Will share my thoughts about this mechanic at a later date as I feel it has potential, to build stronger artist - collector relationships and filter out speculators.
