The opportunity is there, but execution needs to catch up. ▸ the fight for attention: Live sports and podcasts could help keep viewers engaged, but imo they're not a substitute for great shows and films. Netflix still needs to give people a reason to keep coming back. ▸ the valuation: The stock was already down more than 40% over the past year before earnings. That might look tempting, but a big drop doesn't automatically make $NFLX cheap, especially with a weaker near-term outlook. my verdict: HOLD. i wouldn't write Netflix off.
