ricky talking about his participation/experience in writing lyrics + the process of his french rap 👤since korean isn't your native language it must've not been easy writing lyrics, what was the motive behind doing it? 🐱because of the language songwriting is difficult, but even before debuting i've always had an interest in songwriting & composing & i had been practicing it & even wrote a lot of lyrics before. so this time since it's our song, i felt it'd be good to include messages that i personally wanted to express more directly & lyrics that i could sing comfortably so that's how i came to participate in writing the lyrics. 👤what was the process like for writing lyrics for the tracks? 🐱“worth it” is a song where you calmly confess feelings that build up little by little overtime while looking at someone. from how i started contemplating how i'd express those feelings of affection to mustering up courage to relay that sincerity, i naturally incorporated those emotional changes into the lyrics. & as much as i carefully thought through every single fitting expression to the beautiful melody, i hope you'll also be able to feel the sincerity within those lyrics while listening along. 👤was there any connection to the process in preparing the french rap for the title track? 🐱through “french kissing”, it was my first time singing french lyrics. at first it wasn't easy getting used to the pronunciation or rhythm but the process of learning it one by one was enjoyable. i think of it as a part that really brings the song to life a little more so i prepared it in a fun way. & it made me think that i want to try even more various things in the future as well.
