Masked agents of the US state are executing people in the streets and powerful leaders are openly lying to cover for them. To everyone in my industry who’s ever claimed to value freedom—draw on the courage of your convictions and stand up.

I just published "Final Report for EF Grant FY24–1558 — TrueBlocks MiniDapps" This is how Ethereum dApps should work. 100% decentralized. 100% private. 100 times faster. medium.com/p/final-report-fo…

still more missed blocks today vs. pre-fork, but I suppose it's just stragglers i'm no consensus-layer expert, but this seems like it's within the bounds of pre-merge network performance expectations before everything turned out to be basically indistinguishable from perfect

nah fuck that. this is of course a (very bad taste) rage bait but: poor people deserve even more privacy than rich people most of social order relies on privacy: what would happen if the government released all the details they have on you, hospitals your patient history or telecoms all your text messages? yeah, social collapse privacy underwrites trust at scale for most of humanity history, privacy was a fact by default as the vast majority of communications and personal data was not recorded in any way now tech companies and credit bureaus have more information on each of us that we might have ourselves, and we should have the right to be forgotten now, there are multiple reasons why privacy is a class issue and if you pretend otherwise you're straight up delusional: 1- money is a privacy shield: rich people can buy privacy and have margin of errors, poor people get audited/harassed and can get nuked by small data leaks > poor people are not going to set up shellcos or have their lawyers bury or dress up information. a landlord seeing one red flag, an employer seeing one sus data point, a bank seeing one late bill can become existential threats very fast. rich people can absorb hits but poor people lose their jobs or get evicted 2- social services are basically surveillance engines > poor people interact with the state way more: welfare, housing, healthcare subsidies, unemployment. every one of these comes with invasive data collection. rich people barely touch these systems 3- public shaming hits the poor harder > online humiliation is mildly annoying for someone with money and status. for someone without either, it becomes actual material harm: lost jobs, lost housing, lost community (which is basically their social safety net) 4- the "anyway they should have nothing to hide” argument is a luxury belief > it’s easy to say when you’re insulated by wealth, lawyers, and institutions that bend for you. the poor have everything to hide because everything can be used against them aaah now i'm pissed
I don’t understand why is privacy meta still so hot sorry but poor people don’t need privacy

not sure this the best example of america's falling behind, but i would guess the reason is because american exceptionalism discourages even observing other cultures
European countries are putting avocado scanners in their grocery stores. Why is America falling so behind?

super exciting! as someone who runs a local @otterscan instance, I've long wanted more of it to run directly in the browser. so pleased that my work on web-solc has contributed to this goal.
Otterscan 2.10!!! 🦦🦦🦦🦦🦦🦦 This release introduces local, in-browser contract verification, powered by @SourcifyEth Special thanks to Marco Castignoli for championing this feature and @kaanuzdogan, @gnidan (web-solc github.com/gnidan/web-solc) for additional support! 1/n 🧵👇

Why does @SourcifyEth exist? We believe contract verification ecosystem is stuck: centralized, closed-source, and held back by outdated tooling and siloed data In my latest blog post, I explain the problems, what we’ve built, and where we're heading in 2025. Post + summary 👇

This week’s spotlight is on Ethdebug 🪲 @ethdebug is an emerging standard debug‑info format for smart contracts. It lets compilers emit rich, language‑aware data so debuggers and explorers can map bytecode back to source with precision.
