Charlie Kirk was better than I am.
If there was a biblical principle to discuss, he knew the verses, and he knew the context, the moment he started talking. I have to go research, and read. What took him seconds would take me an hour.
If you were against him, and you spoke against him, he would listen to you. He would hear you, and understand you. He would never raise his voice and he would have a calm and reasonable discussion with you. I'm not that good. I get angry, I don't always hear what you say. Sometimes making my point is more important than hearing yours.
He probably would have been president someday. He would have moved this country towards conservatism peacefully, threading the needle between understanding how to effect change without alienating others. I'm just going to vote against you. Relentlessly. Mercilessly.
You killed the person who would have changed your mind, made you understand, given you a chance to speak and be heard. Charlie Kirk was better than I am, and now you're just left with me.
