"A Broadside for the Nation", assembled by ACTA’s National Commission on American History and Civic Education, makes the case for higher ed to restore a required course in US history and government in order to graduate - as well as how to make this vision a reality.
The 1619 Project bleakly - and dishonestly- depicts American history as one defined by racism and white supremacy.

Replying to @CollegeFix
“In 1776, America’s Founders set forth principles of equality, liberty, and consent of the governed,” the book’s editor, Michael Poliakoff told The College Fix. “Although it would be a long journey to shed the stain of slavery, the Founders set us and the world on that path.”

An administrator responsible for a core curriculum at one of America's best public universities who has deep respect for and experience in liberal education. Bizarre.

Less than 3% were Republicans. Most schools had none.
ACTA's @sfmcguire79 asks: how can these departments teach politics when the perspective of half the country is absent?

Universities were quick to dismiss the Trump Administration's call to action as a political hit - but many of the things called for are broadly supported by Americans.
Universities can't both fail to reform internally and decry any attempt towards external reform.
