The DAO hacker was identified because: 1. chainalysis can de-mix Wasabi transactions 2. grin requires interactive transactions, which was done via IP address early on (a horrible idea). Fortunately, this has since been replaced by slatepacks (github.com/mimblewimble/grin…)
