Played Kiskiack (just outside Williamsburg, Va) today for the first time. Really enjoyed it.

No trip to Long Island is complete without a stop at Bethpage. Didn’t have time to play on this trip but I picked up a new hat and ball marker.
Earlier this week I had the opportunity to play Inwood Country Club on Long Island. It was a fantastic experience. Hard to beat a club with great history and a view of the Manhattan skyline. Thanks to @SocietyGolfHist for organizing the event. It was also great to meet @JohnMorton215 and his wife, X-less Stephen Proctor, and many others who may or may not be on this platform.

One of my golf buddies also races cars. Went to watch him race last night. He’s in the blue and yellow #61 car. I sometimes ask him ā€œare you sure you can handle this hot rodā€ when we ride together in a golf cart and he’s driving. šŸ˜†

Hero’s. All of them.
Some FDNY firemen who have been working at the World Trade Center site since this morning are rotated back to their firehouses to recuperate. What remains of the 1st Battalion, the first crew on the scene, staggers in, covered in dust, crying, and physically shaking. Several men vomit a thick chalky substance - a pulverized building, and everything and everyone in it. A few try to return immediately to the site, but they’re held back. Others are laying on the ground, staring into space, unable to comprehend the horrors they have just seen. Jules and Gideon Naudet, two French filmmakers who captured incredible footage of the attacks this morning, tearfully reunite - each of them thought the other was dead.

Can’t believe I’ve never heard this story before. Sharing for @bPardini10
Kenneth Marino of FDNY Rescue Ladder 1 loved his children, his wife and baseball - specifically, Ken Griffey Jr. šŸŽ„ MLB Network Special: When America Took the Field - tonight at 10pm ET

#september11 #neverforget The picture is an 8th grade field trip in the spring of 1998. 3 1/2 years later I was at my high school ~90 miles away from the World Trade Center. I remember sitting and watching and saying with friends, among many other things, ā€œhow are they ever going to repair that damage?!ā€ Minutes later we watched as the first tower fell. I remember being unable to believe what I was seeing. 25 years later I sit and watch the videos and the memorial services and it may be even more difficult to believe it actually happened. Never Forget.

Talk some sense into him Golf X. You’re great @ShaunMorash but you’ve got this one totally wrong. The British Open is great. @7BOOMERESIASON @GioWFAN and @JerryRecco should be able to explain why you’re wrong.

Just made a ā€œhole in oneā€ on the 12 hole at Augusta (probably the 100th swing on my friends sim). No, I’m not counting it.

Tried to put the reverse jinx on it for Cam. He almost pulled it off. Ryan Fox seems like a good guy and it’s fun to watch him play but I haven’t felt as bad for a golfer as I feel for Cam right now in a long time. Really becoming a fan of his.
Golf needs more Cam Youngs and Tommy Fleetwoods fewer Brysons and Rorys. Obviously this is not a comment about on course performance but I’m really hoping Tommy can find a way to win tomorrow. I was thinking it would be Cam’s week for awhile but he probably played his way out of it today.

ā€œThey found his original ball back on 17 so no controversy nowā€ said 20 minutes after the fact. The only problem is that you get 3 minutes to find your ball. So yeah it’s still a controversy.
The idea that you don’t need to find your ball in a bunch of tall grass to get TIO relief is beyond absurd. ā€œSomeone saw it go in thereā€ Seriously?! Are they trying to turn the Open Championship into a charity scramble?

If Rory wanted to make the true, bold statement this would’ve been the one….. ā€œYeah it looked like he broke the rule whether it he intended to or not. But we all know the R&A would have never in a million years given me and many others that penalty under the same set of facts. So I can understand why he’s angry. But the reality is we both need to learn how to grow up and handle these situations better.ā€
"I won't pretend to be up here and defend Bryson. I'm not particularly fond of him. I think a lot of it's performative. I think a lot of it's for attention." Rory McIlroy commented on Bryson DeChambeau’s two-shot penalty at Royal Birkdale and how he handled it. šŸ—£ļø

It’s amazing that people will say this, which is a reasonable opinion, and then suggest that it’s not the R&A that should bring its major to Australia. Which of the 4 organizations that runs a major maintains jurisdiction in Australia?
Reporter: "Would you like to see an international major? Not three in the U.S. and one in Europe, but one that travels around the world?" Jon Rahm: "From what I've seen the last few years, having a major in Australia could be very successful." Thoughts? Interesting perspective here from Jon.
