Chiefs struggles mentioned alongside lack of offensive weapons. Exhibit A
7 biggest storylines from Week7 NFL…. ▪️ The Chiefs have some SERIOUS issues with offensive weapons. Seattle’s defense is Hall of Fame good ▪️ Brock Purdy & the 49ers finally lose. Injuries are piling up but 4 turnovers on the road is not ideal. ▪️ Joe Burrow is RIDICULOUS. 4 second-half TDs and 35 unanswered points. When he gets rolling…nobody better. ▪️ Don’t let the Giants & JJ McCarthy get HOT! Cam Skattebo goes for 124 yards. ▪️ The Lions find a way to win but HOW do the Packers lose that game? Two missed FGs & multiple mistakes. Jordan Love deserves better. ▪️ Aaron Glenn and the Jets lose to a winless Dolphins team AT HOME. Not great for job security. ▪️ It’s Fernando Mendoza time in Las Vegas…
I thought I had finally blocked everyone in the #FTTB fanbase bitter because Purdy turned out to be one of the best QBs in the league. Turns out I hadn't; they just had to wait for almost two months before some of them felt like yapping again. Must've been hell... for them😂

Officiating has been absolutely atrocious today for this game. I feel you Kyle!

Really thought he’d catch at least a couple of passes.
Where the heck was Christian Kirk today? He had 2 weeks of practice and I didn’t even see him on the field

#49ers had four defensive penalties accepted today. Three of those came on third or fourth down and resulted in a first down that led to scoring drives. The fourth was on a second and 20 that also helped lead to a touchdown. Not a ton but poorly timed. (One of them also was the result of not being given enough time to sub).

Also: the pass rush was nearly nonexistent vs. Atlanta, and Penix gets sacked pretty often when pressured.

Just now watched the game. That was an abject failure in all three phases.

BREAKING NEWS!! The NFL has instituted a new rule in the wake of the 49ers’ players committing outrageous acts of violent football in recent games. NFL Rule 178.3(a) now states: “NO player shall, with the intent to use overt physical force, contact another player on the opposing team with such intensity that it makes said opposing player suffer any one of the following: 1.) A bruise that leaves a purple mark significant enough that the victim player feels self-conscious about wearing short pants in public; 2.) A tearing of a uniform garment that would make a jersey exchange at the end of the game impossible; 3.) An injury such that it makes engaging in recreational life activities such as badminton, performance dance, Pilates, or scrapbooking uncomfortable; 4.) Any psychological harm, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, general nervousness, resentment, lowering of self-esteem, fear of crowds, fear of closed spaces, fear of open spaces, career doubts, or feelings of inadequacy; 5.) Any secondary medical condition, including but not limited to dizziness, aphasia, chronic headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, acute bed wetting, vertigo, numbness in the joints, numbness in the feet, abdominal pain, constipation, or chronic inability to recite the alphabet without singing.” The league stated this afternoon that it has instituted this rule as part of its ongoing effort to make football more emotionally available to elementary school children, encounter groups, book clubs, lawn bowling fans, folk singers, piano teachers, and male shift lead baristas who wear their hair up in a bun. Neither the NFLPA nor the 49ers organization have yet commented on this rule change.
#49ers LB Fred Warner was fined $65,673 for two instances against the #Commanders — $17,911 for a hit on TE Chig Okonkwo (flag was thrown then picked up, with ESPN broadcast saying it should’ve stayed a penalty) and $47,762 for use of the helmet here that wasn’t flagged.

Kyle is a national treasure
Kyle Shanahan says that communication between him and Brock Purdy for play calls goes out between 2 and 5 times a game. Brock has an automatic play that he goes to if Kyle can’t get a call in before the 15 seconds (when the headset cuts off). Kyle was asked if Brock thinks the play call (that is set for all season) won’t work against a certain front, can he call his own play: “As long as it works, he can do whatever the hell he wants. But if he just does something on his own and it sucks, then no it’s not cool.” 🎥: @NBCS49ers

Falcons better not get any ideas
The #Bears will give out fake mustaches to all fans Thursday night ahead of their game vs. the #Patriots as part of their plan to honor former player and coach Mike Ditka, who died earlier this month, per @SunTimes. Tonight is Chicago’s first home game since Ditka's passing.
