Children from years 5 and 6 worked hard to build some boats yesterday afternoon whilst trying to stay cool.
Greenfinch enjoyed listening to 'My Little Drummer' by Sian Radford. The author shared her experiences of ADHD, and the children engaged with what it might be like to be neurodiverse. We had a lovely discussion about feelings and how they can be expressed on faces and in bodies.
Nightingale enjoyed a brilliant day out to Kew Gardens yesterday. The children behaved impeccably, learning lots about plants from all over the world. They also learnt about bees and helped with pollination.
🍓🍍 Owl Class explored a variety of fruits, discovering some new favourites along the way! We carefully chopped the fruit and designed our own colourful fruit skewers. A fun, hands-on activity that helped us practise our food preparation skills while trying something new! 🍇🍌
On Monday, Robin and Ibis Class enjoyed a very informative visit to the Parish Church and the local library.
Owl class had a visit from Wendy to talk about prayer. We all made a zebra to show that God made us all unique and special and he loves us just as we are. We made a paper chain to reflect on the things we are thankful for.
Goldcrest year 6 children are thoroughly enjoying our class text 'Fuzzy Mud' by Louis Sachar; they can't put it down.

As part of our History topic about Ancient Greece, Robin class used collage techniques to create 3D Medusa masks.
Earlier this week, Owl class were very excited to find a mysterious nest with a large egg in it. There were large footprints leading away from the nest to the door. After a lot of investigations, the children decided it was a dragon's egg.
As part of Robin's DT topic 'Sandwich Snacks' we designed, planned and made sandwiches. We then evaluated our efforts (after we had tasted them!).
The whole school enjoyed watching the theatre production of The Wizard of Oz yesterday afternoon. A huge thank you to our PTFA for generously funding this opportunity for the children.
