If you only see patriarchy as men vs women then you are not getting the full picture. The family is the locus of gender, and within that is a dynamic of absolute adult power over children. That dynamic is one way in which women’s participation in the system is negotiated.

“My most feminist take is [Trump administration official policy]” — common post on this terrible app
“Teach boys consent” is inadequate for many reasons, one being that rape is not only about an inability to notice a lack of willingness but also the ability to continue without it. The absence of her pleasure doesn’t deter him; her passivity, her object status is what’s erotic.

The thing is that it literally doesn’t matter who Jane Doe actually is because the men defending the Cornell rapists are not attempting to assail an individual woman, but women as a “class” who are beneath men and should know their place in accepting patriarchal abuse

it’s everything. it’s the burnerverse, it’s andrew tate, it’s grab her by the pussy, it’s dobbs, it’s the trad wife movement, it’s “I’m just a girl”, it’s the word foid (and the word bitch), it’s repeal the 19th, it’s literally everything.
Fraternities are microcosms of rape culture and demonstrate the mechanics of hegemonic manhood quite explicitly - initiation into the brotherhood (achieved through violent hazing) affords access to a camaraderie expressed via sexual violence against women.

TERFs will demand laws to punish queer people for existing, the state will codify those laws as “women have a sex based right to be breeding stock for the patriarchy”, and even as that is shown to their faces they will cheer for their own enslavement so long as it spites the fags
Replying to @sophieisawitch
"women have the right to vote" <-> "the right to vote cannot be based on sex"
"women have the right to education" <-> "access to education cannot be based on sex"
"women have the right to work" <-> "employment cannot be based on sex"

philly serial killer has me once again thinking that the absolutely worst legacy of gen x is the championing of "transgression" for its own sake, not the hard work of making difficult/unpleasant/confrontational art but the apocalypse culture style fetishization of actual monsters

This is actually true, but it’s an argument that consent is an insufficient standard for sexual ethics and assault law. “Consent” comes from “consent of the governed.” It is a concept with inequality, and indeed coercion, built into its spectrum of definitional possibilities.
Love how every news cycle includes a story about another porn-obsessed man running a rape trafficking network out of his home! Awesome reality we live in. Epstein died but not his spirit.
Older generations of women are not supporting younger ones when they dismiss their standards/boundaries as roadblocks to important life lessons. Rather they’re priming them to better endure mistreatment without protest. That is definitely the Ghislaine mentality.
Don’t get your critiques of liberal feminism from left misogynists whose only gripe is that these women dared to call out misogyny. Get it from feminist radicals who can actually articulate why ignoring gender’s role in modes of re/production weakens the fight for liberation.
It’s no coincidence that TERFism has increased in popularity alongside the rise of the global new right. The conservative “anti-gender” movement has converged with this strain of second wave feminism to form a united front against threats to traditional patriarchal gender logic.
Whether it’s a Twitter TERF’s crusade against “male lesbians” or Pete Hegseth’s coke rant about “tr*nnies infiltrating the military,” both discourses represent shared anxieties about the degeneration of the gender/sex regime that buttresses their worldview.
I highly recommend this journal issue for better understanding this phenomenon:
