I played JV as JR in HS. 17yo HS grad. JUCO was the best decision of my life. Starting SS in Omaha 5 years later. Played pro ball for 11 years. Area Scout for 7. If you love the game it doesn't matter the level. Keep your head down and continue to work to get better.
I got an email from our International Scouting Director about a kid he just saw against Cuba in the U-15 world cup. He said he was in my area, LHH who had just faced a LHP that was 88-90 at 15 years old. He said that the LHP had the stuff of a Fri night starter in college
with the Seattle Mariners. The skinny kid was his 14yo son Brice. Then in hit me. This was the kid from the email. He had an awesome workout and you can tell that he was just different. The only thing that was really lacking was strength. He was at the top of my list his SR year
The guy on the radio just said that by the 5th inning, they are going to have to get this home plate umpire fresh batteries for his microphone. 🤣🤣🤣
Remember when everyone said that it was just so hard to bunt an upper 90's Fastball. I can't believe these Brewers hitters can execute. I guess it's a lot easier then it looks when you put your heart into it.

Not going to share the video, because it's probably not fair to the kid. This is a coach issue.
In the DMs, someone sent me a video of a So Cal defensive lineman teeing off on a center on the last play of the game, when the game was clearly over, and they were simply taking a knee. Total bush league.
Same DL then just walks off the field, doesn't join his team in the handshake line, and no coach goes to get him.
Cultural problems there . . . big time.
On many levels.

Just saw a baseball card collector mixing it up with an ex big leaguer about being a competitor. Crazy world we are living in. 🤦♂️
Just like he competes every night against little 10 year olds to get that autograph. Or scoring that black lacquer that exploded in the 3rd inning.
This HS bat situation screams urging HS draft prospects to go to college. Pitchers won't be as dominant with guys swing drop -6 bats. Hitters production will be questioned with drop -6 bats. College will be the only way to see if they can really hit or truly have strikeout stuff.
Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, tying run at 2nd base with Freddie Freeman up. Crowd on their feet. First 2 pitches get overturned by ABS. Instead of 2-0, Freeman is hitting 0-2. He punches out a couple pitches later to end it. Every pitch is so important in the game of baseball.
I think that you should get 2 ABS challenges on offense and 2 challenges on defense. These umpires just keep missing pitches. If your catcher is wrong once, it shouldn't handcuff a hitter into not wanting to challenge a missed call because they only have 1 left. Even it out MLB.
There were 2 pitches prior to this one. INF in, I am looking to see the runners primary/where he ends up on his secondary. Small primary and no secondary tells me he's not going. Gather as much information as you can to help you slow the game down & make sound decisions.
If you are playing for the Savannah Bananas and you punch out looking to end the inning with a runner on 3rd. Are you mad??? I mean he did get quick pitched. Pitcher drilled a guy in the calf, gave him the my bad. Guess he just has to accept it since it's all entertainment. 🤦♂️
ESPN+ and NCAA conference tournament baseball is a winner! This goes up there with March Madness in my book. Might be one of my new favorite weeks of the year.

Physical frame with aptitude for the position and plenty of arm strength. Son of former Big Leaguer.
