Strutting in with matching tracksuits & soaking up all the boos just to get pumped 5-1 and told you're illiterate. The beautiful game

I’ve been getting many calls on the new CTE study released yesterday. Here are the numbers. Between 2016 and 2021, a total of 878 former NFL players died. Of those, 235 donated their brains to research. From the group of 235, 215 players brains had CTE. This is a crisis.

in 3 years we went from "do you condemn hamas" to "do you condemn hasan" and israel is still a belligerent entity that is causing destruction, goading trump into war with iran & prominent dems are focusing on a critic of trump and israel instead of trump and israel itself. fools

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

The problem i have with The Odyssey is that we didn’t get to know how the war started, what caused it and a lot of important storyline was either rushed or skipped and the gods were hardly shown just talked about..

I am losing my mind I live in a different universe than these people
CNN panelists Van Jones, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and longtime Democratic strategist David Axelrod all agree on at least one key reason for Kamala Harris’s loss: “The fear about Israel not being protected—there was never a response from the campaign on that.” This, despite Harris’s full military and political support for Israel’s ongoing 13-month genocide in Gaza.

Looking forward to seeing @janekleeb say the same about Vargas: “If you just look at how Biden performed versus Kara, Kara did not fit the district,” said Nebraska Democratic Party Chairwoman Jane Kleeb. - @HuffPost (Dec 2020)

Millions of dollars in misinformation led to this. Nebraska's abortion rights initiative narrowly fell short and a competing initiative, 434, passed to leave the 12-week ban in place. Ads lying to voters claimed 434 would limit government interference in health care.
Nebraska’s 12-week abortion ban will remain in effect after a majority of voters supported Initiative 434 and rejected Initiative 439. 1011now.com/2024/11/06/nebra…

What I learned from the last year of going through a life altering health crisis is that when everything goes to shit the only thing that still matters is relationships. Check in on each other. Lean on each other. Things are going to get harder before they get better.

in retrospect, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords really might've been a better basis for a system of government.

Liz Cheney, Geoff Duncan, and others were never going to bring voters. They don’t have a base. Prioritizing billionaires and republicans instead of progressive orgs who do deep organizing work was a huge mistake. They’re the ones who push back on right wing disinformation. 2/
