Your degree might get you in the room, but real-life skills are what actually get you paid in 2026. If you want to be essential, you have to upskill on your own terms.

POV - You built your product from scratch🚀🔥
Last year, we looked at our app and realized it was good. But “good” doesn’t close the skills gap. So we rebuilt VarsityScape from scratch and these are some of our favourite features after the revamp.

I’m at this point…
At some point, you’d realize that you’re so far behind, that you have to read twice as fast because the things you have to cover are a ridiculous lot. But until then, it feels like you’re only 19 and you have a long future ahead of you and there’s still time. You are correct.

Writing is really more about editing ideas than just penning them down. Very humbling process if you ask me😂

What’s one book you’re excited to read right now? Mine is Storyworthy by Matthew Dicks.

This is what learning a skill feels like: 1. You don’t know what you don’t know. 2. You know what you don’t know. 3. You know what you know. 4. You don’t know what you know. I’m currently at 2 and silently freaking out, I used to think 1 was worse.

I had a conversation with a friend a few nights ago, and she asked, "What are you trying to do with the content you’re making?" I said, “Uh, I’m paying attention to how I learn, and I think others should too, cause it’s important.” Then she said, "I have some tips you could use"

In the next 4 minutes, she shared some proverbial advice about branding, authenticity and sprinkle sprinkle. By the time she’s done I’m wondering how I can hit the reset button🙂

This is me hitting the button (but it’s the one that says Continue) and putting into action what my friend shared. After all, what’s learning without doing?

Who else watches tutorials at 1.25x speed, only to watch them again? It actually helps to get a quick preview of the entire video first—it’s like skimming through the pages of a book. Don’t worry about fully grasping everything on your first watch, or even your second or third.
