From what I know, Islam not allowing pork comes partially from the fact that pigs aren't as "useful" as other farm animals. Cows also given milk, chicken gives eggs, but pigs don't give anything other than meat and might be a waste of space and effort.

I have up to 14 hours of timezone difference so this comes in handy ...to make sure no one is available as usual 😅
