Did you know that Mike Trout (2012-13) and Willie (1957-58) stand alone as the only players in Major League history with multiple seasons of at least a .320 batting average, 25 home runs and 30 stolen bases?

Three was a magic number for Willie.
Mays is one of 33 members of the 3,000-hit club, but he's the only player in MLB history with at least 3,000 hits, a .300 average, 300 home runs and 300 stolen bases.

Willie Mays gave so much of himself to baseball that saying goodbye brought him to tears.
His words are a reminder of how deeply he loved the game—and how much it meant to spend his life playing it. 🧡🖤

Happy International Day of the Girl! There’s power in a girl seeing what’s possible. Here’s to girls dreaming a little bigger, playing a little harder & continuing to push the goal line forward. The future of sports is brighter when every girl has the chance to see herself in it.

Willie’s talent was extraordinary, but he knew how much mindset mattered. His words are a reminder that the way we approach a challenge can shape what happens next, on the field and beyond it. 🧡

Fun Fact: Willie accounted for 7.0 bWAR in 13 straight seasons from 1954-1966? Lou Gehrig is the only player who came close to that level of sustained success, doing so in 11 straight campaigns from 1927-37.
That's greatness!

Willie’s greatness extended far beyond his ability on the field. He generously shared his knowledge with teammates and younger players, helping others find success — that willingness to lift up those around him remains an important part of the Say Hey Kid’s enduring legacy.
