Looks like IDJS is dramatically faster than ExtendScript. And, according to あるふぁ, might even be 100X faster while processing pure JavaScript (i.e. excluding DOM commands.)

I just discovered that #InDesign 2023 inserts language tags for every element in the xhtml markup in exported reflowable #EPUB files. Different behavior than InDesign 2022.

Man kann vom neuen Infektionsschutzgesetz halten, was man möchte. Dass es auch im dritten Coronaherbst keine effektive Strategie zur unkomplizierten (!) und flächendeckenden Anschaffung von Luftfiltern für Kitas und Schulen gibt, ist aber definitiv ein Armutszeugnis.

#InDesign #scripting #DOM Just discovered the unhoped-for `smartTextReflowSync` boolean property, available in (doc|app).textPreferences since InDesign 15.0. It allows your script to deal *synchronously* with added/deleted pages during text reflowing. Finally! 🤓
