Wow, MSTF is offering a 27%-ish (60,000 employee) voluntary exit offer. This is incredible. The reason is apparently to "balance a costly artificial intelligence infrastructure build-out with capital efficiency."

The cost of AI is not cheap, and now we're starting to see it. What amazes me is that MSFT is replacing actual humans in favor of "balancing" AI. Reminds me of how Anakin Skywalker brought balance to the force (IYKYK).

It's amazing to me how rapidly AI is changing the workforce. I am thankful to have a job where my company is adopting AI and I'm on the leading edge of that, but seeing headlines like this is still very rattling.

Whoops, hit enter to soon. These are cut with the laser, but I am planning to use a cut/die (with press) soon for a few designs, which should knock down my time significantly.

I decided to hop back on Etsy and just reopened my store. I am gong to test and see if anyone can find my listings. My leather goods are probably a better fit there than Fleabay.

Looks like they don’t charge as much fee wise either, which is nice, so I can offer a slightly lower price. Link here. etsy.com/shop/GregsMakerCorn…

Pro tip: make sure you update your raspberry pi machines- especially if they are running PHP and internet facing! Huge vulnerabilities this week.

Cartographer update- It’s not perfect but I think it is good enough! Had to do some axis twist calibration/ compensation.

Well, Cartographer upgrade seemed good, but now that I'm putting it to the test, I'm not getting good results. It looks like the sensor is drifting downward when printing ASA. I get better results without a bed mesh.

Ok, I just asked AI and it told me I need to run "CARTOGRAPHER_TEMPERATURE_CALIBRATE" which may help with this.. I'll have to give it a shot.

For anyone following, I am continuing to troubleshoot this. It looks like I need to scan first, then "touch" based on official documentation. After I address that, I'll check and see if there are any issues with axis tilting. Thanks to Rushmere3D in the discord for ideas.

The worst thing about printing with the VzBot is having to wait 24 hours for all the loctite to dry before you start going. I learned the hard way (several years ago, first build), otherwise you end up with screws coming out.

Well this is an interesting development.

To those that may be evacuating, Toledo, Ohio, just a reminder: do not have your HVAC system on in your car. This is just a precautionary idea. Right now, the chemical plume is visible and detectable 4 miles away.
