Writing about the extraordinary heroes who saved 1400 lives in WW2 was a privilege. And having The Nazi Ghost Train greeted so warmly made it all worthwhile. This is for the everyday heroes who could not sit back & let evil triumph. amazon.co.uk/Nazi-Ghost-Trai…

It was an honour on Friday to visit my @GlamCricket hero Javed Miandad at his residence in Karachi. The 200 I saw him hit at Taunton in 1981 is still the best innings I have ever seen.

Honoured to share this film of 103-yr-old Marshall Badham, who must be the last survivor of sinking of #HMSRepulse in 1941. Pays moving tribute to William Tennant. Filmed by his grandson, my school buddy, Steve. I've got more to share when I can. #WW2 youtube.com/shorts/_he6K2vxZ…

Out of the 144 fatalities of the #AberfanDisaster, 52 ago #otd, 116 were school children of the Pantglas Junior School. This harrowing book by Gaynor Madgwick, who was severely injured but survived aged 8, should be read by everyone in Wales and beyond. amazon.co.uk/Aberfan-Surviva… – at Cardiff, Wales
