An athletic scholarship is just another form of financial aid. Many times a D3 school ends up being a student-athlete's best option financially with merit and need-based aid being greater than an "athletic scholarship" at a different level.

An eye-raising new lawsuit filed this evening: two former and one current NCAA Division III athletes filed suit against the NCAA over Division III rules barring athletic scholarship, claiming that the restriction amounts to illegal price fixing under antitrust law.

James Dolan having a phishing email sent out to employees about rings, only to hold the ones who clicked on the link accountable and forced them to take a cybersecurity class is insanity. Even if your worried about cybersecurity in general, to use championship rings as the way to test that is nasty work. Given how sensitive the situation is, anything else would have been better.
