Excited to see the first copy of my new book--a labor of love that explores the big ideas that open literacy learning to all students. Thanks to all who helped make it happen.

Texas Republicans claim to be “pro-life,” yet allow defenseless children to die in the classroom and at the border.
Their hypocrisy is stunning. Ted Cruz and his colleagues have failed our state.
Can’t wait to read this.
I wrote a book. ( VERY strange seeing that written down) it’s a collection of stories about how life not working out is usually - life working out. It is available for pre-order harpercollins.com/products/m… and is out on May 3rd.

BREAKING: Governor Greg Abbott is hit with a HUGE lawsuit from parents of disabled Texan kids over his ban on school mask mandates, who accuse him of violating discrimination laws by making it too dangerous for disabled students to return to school. RT IF YOU SUPPORT THEIR SUIT!

How did 9,000 people register in 40 seconds? I bet more than 9,000 of us were looking at a crashed site for those 40 seconds.
Could we register for a waiting list?
Or does it have to be Lord of the Flies each time another batch arrives?

If you want to know why COVID relief is tied up in Congress, one key reason is that Republicans are demanding legal immunity for corporations so they can expose their workers to COVID without repercussions.
Dems don’t want you to die for a check. That’s what we’re fighting over.
Leadership would be good. This nation is asking too much of teachers. Calling out Senators Cornyn and Cruz for not stepping up for the nation and for Texas teachers who face it too.

When people get together indoors—eating, drinking, talking, shouting, singing—Covid spreads, especially when people are traveling. Covid will haunt our holidays if we’re not careful.

Humility and confidence aren't opposites. They're complements.
Genuinely humble people are more confident than they appear. Genuinely confident people are more humble than they appear.
Show both qualities by uttering 3 magic words:
"I don't know."

The mood in the White House. “Manic, energized, exuberant and toxic.” That’s terrific news. Here is another story about the mentally incapacitated toddler who sits behind the Resolute desk for 70 more days. His tantrum rages on. Trump is like a distempered Augustus Gloop
From the Daily Mail: Some WH staffers are “lighting rose-scented candles in an attempt to soften the environment – and to combat the smell of fast-food delivered to the President and his inner circle.” dailymail.co.uk/news/article…
