Okay so apparently there’s another website blk-archiveofourown [DOT] org that is supposed to be an archive of black characters and black creators. which is interesting considering most of my works are there and I’M NOT BLACK. NONE OF THE WORKS IVE WRITTEN HAVE BLACK CHARACTERS.

In light of recent ao3 related events, I have stumbled upon a website that I think authors need to be made aware of.  The website ao3 [DOT] life has been scraping and downloading fics published to ao3 for who knows how long. 🧵

Repost so everyone stays informed: DO NOT email them DO NOT sign up DO NOT give them money for audio books DO NOT sign up for monetisation of works DO NOT download This seems to be a huge data scrape of deleted & available works uploaded to Ao3 only. Just DON'T INTERACT!!

not gonna spread rumors but I won’t be surprised if it turns out the ao3 knockoff site, that monetizes fanfics without writers’ knowledge, is behind ao3 security attack. according to some writers, the site has fics that were deleted 10 years ago and fics that are in their DRAFTS

camz :^D (@kornnapht) profile picturecamz :^D@kornnapht9h
many fanfics were stolen from the authors of the fandom, whether ormling or lingorm and fed into an artificial intelligence site that makes an audiobook version (without authorization from either the authors or ao3) and unfortunately i was one of the unlucky ones 🤙🏻
