We’re really sad to announce the passing of volunteer Karen Sparrow. Karen was with us from the start. Always smiling, encouraging and supporting our runners. Karen completed every volunteer role from marshal to Run Director and back again. She will be missed by us all. ❤️❤️❤️

We've never needed parkrun as much as we do now.
We call on governments around the world to recognise parkrun, and activities like it, as an essential public health intervention, to keep parkrun events open and accessible to all ❤️

In the past 12 months I’ve spent about £480 on petrol and nearly £500 on running shoes. How life has changed. #running #COVID19 @UKRunChat @grinsteadprkrun @parkrunUK #runningmotivation

This morning I passed over 1k miles run since I started using @strava on the 11th April. The runs where mostly XC trails, I climbed the equivalent of Mt Everest twice in elevation and lost 12kgs in the process. Bring on @grinsteadprkrun @parkrunUK. #running #1000k

First (not)parkrun logged for @grinsteadprkrun birthday celebrations. It was a struggle, not sure when the last time I tried to run 5k outside was. Did throw in a sneaky "Well done" to a passing fellow parkrunner just cos I'm missing marshalling too 😂 #loveparkrun
