Checking in on San Francisco election turnout before the final weekend of voting and everything is looking normal. We're on pace with the November 2022 midterm and estimate approximately 61% final turnout. growsf.org/turnout/

SF’s Police Commission approved rules protecting privacy while allowing police to continue using drones. Technology is helping make our city safer. We should give officers better tools to catch suspects and solve crimes, not take them away. growsf.org/news/2026-10-19-p…

Big SF Chronicle endorsement for School Board candidates Phil Kim, Autumn Brown Garibay, and Tim Tung! SFUSD has serious problems, and fixing them means making tough decisions that put students first. sfchronicle.com/opinion/edit…

The momentum is with Scott Wiener, and it’s not hard to see why. On housing, public safety, and affordability, Scott has spent his career tackling tough problems and delivering results.
The only independent poll in CA-11 (at least for general) came out today. It shows a tight race to succeed Nancy Pelosi: 🟦 Scott Wiener: 47% 🟦 Connie Chan: 41% ⬛️ Undecided: 9% ⬜️ Skipping question: 3% Read about it exclusively in the SF Standard: sfstandard.com/2026/10/22/po…

SF wants to take over PG&E’s power grid, saying it can improve service and lower bills. But PG&E says it could cost over $20 billion, and while they have reason to inflate that price, we still don’t know the real cost or how the city would run the grid. growsf.org/news/2026-10-14-p…

We endorse Darshini Patel for District 8 Supervisor. She’s outcome-driven, reads the research, and thoughtfully engages on complex issues. She’s strongly pro-housing and will fight for more shelter and drug treatment facilities that the city needs. growsf.org/voter-guide/#supe…

SFUSD’s reading scores are among the lowest in California. That’s why we back Phil Kim, Tim Tung, and Autumn Brown Garibay for school board: a teacher, a PTA leader, and a budget expert focused on getting more kids reading at grade level. Vote for all three by Nov 3.

We’re voting on a lot this election. But four propositions stand out because their impact could last for decades. Props A, D, E, and F would reform San Francisco’s charter and change how City Hall works. Vote YES on on these measures. Learn more at growsf.org/voter-guide/

How do we shut down SF's drug market? Start with the data. Five years ago, drug-dealing arrests hit a low: 1,780 a year. Three years ago, the city launched the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center, uniting public health and public safety for the first time. Arrests spiked to 3,223 under then-Commander, now Chief, Lew. Convictions tripled from 16% to 46% under DA Jenkins. It worked. The market shrank. Daytime dealing is gone. So what's stopping us from finishing the job? Adaptation. First, fewer dealers are left (good news!), with 1,948 arrested last year. But the ones who remain are harder to catch. They've switched from open dealing to drops and moved to nighttime, when police are stretched thin. Second, judges keep letting them go. Of 1,172 pending dealing cases last year, only 10% were held pre-trial. Over 1,000 dealers went right back to the street. To shut it down for good, we need to: 1. Put more police on the street at night 2. Launch a drug market intervention strategy that pairs prevention with enforcement 3. Hold judges accountable for releasing fentanyl dealers pre-trial 4. Change state law to treat fentanyl dealing as the deadly crime it is

This is the Board of Education dream team: Phil Kim, Tim Tung, and Autumn Brown Garibay. They’ll put students first, raise reading scores, and get SFUSD’s budget under control. Endorsed by the SF Democratic Party, Mayor Lurie, and GrowSF. Vote for all three.

SF's retail rules make chain stores get special permission to open. That means empty storefronts stay empty longer. Supervisor @bilalmahmood wants to cut the red tape and let grocery stores and pharmacies skip that step when they replace another chain. growsf.org/news/2026-09-24-g…
