I feel that this scene, besides being hot as fuck, tries to show us how Blitzø might be slowly losing himself 🤔

Hey clay ghouls & frame-by-frame fiends! 🎃👻
On this day in the heart of spooky season October 29th—we’re cranking up the VCR and celebrating one of the weirdest, squishiest, and most delightfully deranged Halloween specials Will Vinton ever squeezed out of a lump of clay: Claymation Comedy of Horrors (also billed as Will Vinton’s Claymation Comedy of Horrors). Exactly 35 years after its 1991 production and May 29 CBS premiere (a Halloween tale that somehow landed in late spring), this 23-minute stop-motion oddity still feels like pure early-’90s Claymation chaos.
Directed by Barry Bruce, with Will Vinton as executive producer, the short follows the scheming pink pig Wilshire (Michele Mariana) and his long-suffering snail sidekick Sheldon (Brian Cummings) as they field-test a dangerously janky carnival ride in the woods on Halloween night. Things go sideways, a journal and map turn up, and the duo ends up crashing a full-blown monsters’ convention inside the castle of Dr. Victor Frankenswine—complete with ghouls, a registration desk, Horsemen of the Apocalypse cameos, and the doctor’s dormant, thumb-sized creation. Cue the magical blue elixir, a growing monster, a sing-along of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” and the kind of rubbery, lopsided practical clay craftsmanship that only Vinton’s Portland studio (the same house behind the California Raisins and the Claymation Christmas special) could pull off.
Animator Teresa Drilling took home an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement for her work, and the lead animation team (including John Ashlee Prat, Chuck Duke, and Jeff Mulcaster) packed the frames with grotesque-yet-lovable monster designs, deadpan pig logic, and background gags that reward repeat viewings. It sat alongside Vinton’s Christmas and Easter Claymation specials as a holiday trilogy of sorts—less wholesome, more “what if Frankenstein’s lab was a party and the test subject was a rocket ride.”
Who else grew up catching this one on a taped-off-the-air VHS or discovering it later in the YouTube/DVD era? Favorite clay monster, Wilshire scheme, or “Sheldon’s tongue has the map” moment? Drop it below. 🎃🍂

I would rather the model be preserved in a better way IMO… I get the model is owned by a private owner I understand it’s their choice what they do with it but this model is over 30+ years old and i think there are better way to preserve a piece of TV history… #Thomas
