We started a new company: Arda. Arda helps other companies rapidly manufacture new, complex products at scale, and then change those products quickly as the world changes.
We do this by building AI that understands the manufacturing process from start to finish and then using that AI to help design and operate factories. In the future, this AI will control reconfigurable robot assembly lines that will produce a huge number of products much more cheaply.
We’re actively hiring people to work on AI + Robotics as well as for other roles. Please get in touch if that interests you.

A big day for our team. We’re excited to share what we’ve been building: AI for manufacturing engineering, already deployed at @anduriltech.
More from our co-founder and CEO, @bobmcgrewai, below.
We started Arda in 2025 to speed up American manufacturing. We have spent the last year building with Anduril as our design partner. Today we are launching the company publicly on CNBC and announcing our Series A: $160M at a $1.5B valuation.
Our platform helps manufacturers design and operate manual assembly lines, putting designs into production faster now. Next we'll build automated lines that can be reconfigured as quickly as human workers, letting America make products that now require armies of workers in Asia.
Hardware's no longer just “designed in the United States.” With @Arda_Industries, we build here, too.
Today Arda is out of stealth with an AI agent that turns CAD files into assembly instructions. At @anduriltech, it cut 10 hours of work to 15 minutes.
We’re proud to join its Series A. @pxd and @curious_graham on why we invested: felicis.link/QIYc1A5

We’ve been talking about how the industrial wave is coming. With @Arda_Industries, it’s officially here.
Today, Arda comes out of stealth with an AI agent that turns CAD files into assembly instructions. It’s already been deployed across every division at @anduriltech, reducing engineering workflows from 30 hours to 2.5.
That's step one of a three-act plan. Next: use those instructions to train robotic production lines that adapt quickly to new designs. Then: make it possible to build anything domestically.
Thrilled that we at @Felicis have joined this round. More at @felicis: felicis.link/wJRN7I3

America designs the future. We should manufacture it, too. Arda is AI that turns product designs into assembly plans and updates them as designs change. Built to speed up American manufacturing.
Today, we're launching publicly. Backed by @Accel, @AltimeterCap, @foundersfund, @khoslaventures, @xyz_vc, @8vc, @svangel & @felicis.

personally i am not really impressed when a computer is good at math — since a computer is math . i am a lot more intrigued by things like , for example , a rat being an exceptional cook — since that’s not really expected
the Notion agent is quite bad in my experience. This is interesting because it suggests some combination of:
- Even a basic agent harness is actually quite hard to get right
- grafting on an agent harness to software that wasn't designed "agent-first" is too hard?
As far as technical artifacts go, a "frontier" LLM is just not that hard to produce, relatively speaking. There are more "frontier labs" than companies capable of building a leading edge chip fab, or a reusable launch vehicle, or a large commercial turbofan, etc. I think this has some pretty obvious economic implications...

AGI will very likely be a commodity. This is not a value judgement, it's just the outcome of an economically-valuable product + competitive markets. Implicitly people see this coming and are leaning into it, hence the big push from all the labs to go vertical.
A few things can prevent this: 1) regulation or 2) a moat, so it's definitely not a certainty. But absent that, this is where things are going.
Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits.
Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit.
Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Is nothing sacred to these AI freaks???? Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison just built this monstrous data center in the very heart of Paris—only steps away from Notre-Dame and the Louvre. Can’t the EU do something?
This is really really cool. It seems plausible to me that devices like these largely replace phones in the next ~5 years and that they become one of the main ways we interact w/ LLMs (because they're low friction to talk to + they have visual context)
We’re sharing an early preview of Raven Prism, our stylish ambient computer in glasses form, ahead of its launch later this year. Raven Prism is Linux-based with a ARM64 architecture and devs have already built apps for it.
If you’re at AWE, come by our booth for a demo!

Metaphors like eating the seed corn, killing the golden goose, burning the furniture to heat the house - these simply have no effect on people who have never created anything in their life
extremely sick

If I hadn't been to California I would think it was an invented place, a cautionary tale about how you poorly you can possibly govern a genuine physical paradise that's proved to be one of the most dynamic and desirable places on earth.
After some mathematical rewrite, turns out all of transformer is a series of gemm + epilogue. Given a few optimized primitives, LLMs (and novice humans) can write speed-of-light kernels for all transformer ops!
