Sweet they weren't projected to beat the Rays. There are Cinderella stories all the time in sports. There's teams that defy the odds and catch lightning in a bottle and get hot at the right time. It happens. It happens everywhere except here. I dont know a single person in my personal life that remembers the last Cleveland World Series. Even the years that we're a favorite. Someone else defies those odds. Moments like 2016 and 2024 and the ALDS this year are fun. But it almost makes the crash at the end of a season even worse. Call me a shitty fan. I would take 30 years of mediocre baseball if we could just experience the euphoria one time. Just one..I want to be able to hug my dad after the final out. I want to be able to scream with my brother. I want to embrace my fiancée and our friends and family.
