The Academy fired on Charity’s position. Not on the Everborn. On her. The working needed her power as its amplifier. They needed the horde concentrated around her to ensure the shockwave reached every node on the surface.

The siege at the Garrison was the greatest battle Eucos has ever seen. Every domain, every faction, every surviving force on the continent converged on a single keep while a titan the size of a city descended on them from the sky.

Divya of the Band of the Wolf is dead. What walked out of the treeline wearing his body was Everborn. The man who fought alongside Eiko from Raneko to the top of the Tower — the braggart, the Amazon warrior, the most competitive person in any room — was consumed and repurposed.

Aeona, Goddess of Nature, lost her mind at the Garrison. Not slowly, the way she'd been fracturing for months — all at once, violently, in the middle of the battle that was supposed to save Eucos.

The plan worked. The Great Unnamed One is dead. The Everborn horde is collapsing across Faenar. The Academy's mages are already moving to reseal the source beneath the Cracked Mountains.

Ludia used the Key. She passed through the horde unseen, navigated to the deepest chamber, and opened the chest that was supposed to hold a power great enough to elevate her beyond the gods.

NEW EXPANSION: Reckoning 13 October 2026.

Elyrian knew what the Everborn were before anyone else did. He watched people die with that knowledge, because revealing it would have unravelled the only working he believed could stop them. Whether that was wisdom or cruelty is a question nobody has answered yet.

Argus stood above them on a rocky outcrop, greatshield planted before him like an extension of bedrock. He saw what Charity's gentle light didn't reveal: unnatural stillness. Birds silent a mile back. Underbrush quivering not with wind, but slow, pushing motion.

Where everyone else went to study the Everborn closer, Pallas went to find the door. Not cowardice — the correct application of the principle that data is not wisdom, and observation requires an observer. They've been applying that principle to everything since.

It didn't arrive as a sound. It arrived as the absence of one. Every hum, scream, prayer, and spell-crackle across Eucos just stopped at once, swallowed by something with a bigger ear than the world.

Charity's village was destroyed by the Dread, and she was the only one who walked out of it. Most people who survive something like that build walls. She went the opposite direction.

It doesn't have a name because it never needed one. It doesn't think, doesn't negotiate, doesn't stop. It just spreads. portal.godsunchained.com/blo…
