as much as i loathe pioโ€™s grandfather, him asking pio to play his version of moonlight sonata as the last song he listens to before he dies is so symbolic. beethovenโ€™s piano sonata no. 14 (quasi una fantasia), as the name suggests, is a fantasia meaning it doesnโ€™t actually follow

the structured form a usual sonata has and is more free-form and abstract. itโ€™s more emotionally driven and sounds like an improvised piece. the fact that pioโ€™s grandpa asked him to play that means he acknowledges pio finally breaking free from that mould and being able to play

from the heart. it just goes to show how far pio has come, now being able to play music that comforts and heals people. just as beethoven has allowed his emotions to flow through his music, pio has done the same as well and his grandpa (finally!) acknowledges that same ability.

i rarely go on here in this past year (donโ€™t rlly have much intention to lol) but im happy to report that i finally finished my last day of med school last monday and graduating in july! coincidentally i started my clinical clerkship (basically 365 days of being a hospital slave)

everything, time healed it all. also an actual major life change happening in real life (clerkship) distracted me from it ๐Ÿ˜… i grew so much and regained the spark i thought blew out!! i experienced so much life outside hk and i hope he also knows iโ€™m finally happy again too ๐Ÿฅน
