In a very close race vs Scott Colom @scott_colom and Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi every vote proves valuable. Ty Pinkins an Independent candidate claims he intended to support Scot Colom by staying in the senatorial race, however messages he sent during his campaign say otherwise.
Ty Pinkins HURT @scott_colom no matter what Ty says.
24% of voters were Independents, and those were breaking 2-1 in Colom's favor.
THOSE are the 20k voters Ty took away. 13.3k D and 6.6k R.

🔵 Scott #Colom is going to unseat Republican Senator Cindy #Hyde-#Smith, deny her a third term, and flip a seat Republicans have held since 1989.
A historic #Democratic upset in the making.
👉🏻 Here’s the reasoning behind:
1️⃣ Hyde-Smith trails by 1,833 votes. Mississippi officials have reported approximately 3,600 outstanding absentee ballots, while Colom’s campaign estimates another 10,000–15,000 provisional ballots.
🔢 If 10,000 votes remain, Hyde-Smith needs 59.2% of the two-candidate vote to take the lead. With 15,000 remaining, she needs 56.1%.
2️⃣ Even in Republican strongholds, Hyde-Smith is underperforming #Trump’s 2024 margins by 15–20 points, while Colom is outperforming #Harris and even carrying Trump-won counties.
3️⃣ Outstanding ballots in heavily Democratic Hinds County could further increase the margin Republicans must overcome.
📌 Winning the remaining votes isn’t enough. Hyde-Smith needs to win them by margins she hasn’t been producing.
