Hi @bookingcom Thanks for acknowledging this! I've now spoken to your team and understand the hotel has 5 working days to issue a full refund. Appreciate your support in getting this resolved🙏

@bookingcom I stayed at @ClumberHotelSpa where a man entered my room at midnight while I slept with my 4yo. No apology, 20% voucher offered, & now my comments are being deleted. Will you help?

FYI: I'm trolling a hotel because a stranger walked into my room after midnight while I was asleep with my 4-year-old and they thought 20% off my next stay would make it all okay. 🫠🔑 @ClumberHotelSpa @ChadNews @yournottstv @WestBridgford @worksoplife

Nothing says festive spirit like an uninvited guest sneaking into your room while you sleep. Skip the carols—bring extra locks.

Already had my horror story—stranger in my room after midnight. No costume. Just pure terror. Guys, this is too easy.

Relax your mind, body & soul… unless you’re a mum and child jolted awake by an uninvited guest in your room. Then it’s more fight-or-flight.

I was spirited into a realm of panic when a stranger entered my room at midnight. Not quite the wellness retreat I had in mind.

Started 2025 with a bang at your UK hotel—a man walked into my room after midnight. Not quite the ‘wonderful beginning’ I had in mind

Happy to write a guest blog: ‘What to do when an actual stranger joins your hotel stay uninvited.

Beautiful quote. My 4-year-old’s latest piece was called ‘Mummy, who’s that man in our room?’—a tense midnight performance at Clumber Park.

I don’t need a massage—I need closure after someone walked into my hotel room uninvited.

Happy Father’s Day—nothing says ‘dad vibes’ like having to check the hallway for intruders all night.

I chose my destination… just didn’t expect the hotel to choose who else gets access to my room.

Not sure what was comfier—the bed, or the creeping anxiety after midnight.

Next time I’ll just camp in Sherwood Forest—safer, and probably fewer unexpected visitors.

If your dream getaway involves fear, sleep loss, and unanswered calls to reception—Clumber Park’s got you covered.

Sleep peacefully… unless you’re in Room 1 with your child and a stranger walks in after midnight. Might want to skip the PJs and sleep in your shoes.

Book with caution—my 4-year-old and I had a surprise guest walk into our room after midnight. Still waiting on a proper apology or refund. Safety clearly isn’t part of the package.
