Can't wait to see @MariaDavidson build Relational Capital. Brilliant mind, even better human. Founders, take her call.
I'm excited to launch Relational Capital, a $50m solo GP fund. I spent the last 8 years as a founder, building @usekojo into the largest US construction procurement platform. Now I'm backing founders at the earliest stages with $1m-$5m checks. An abundant future lies ahead 🇺🇸

Super cool product launch from @21shares today: synthetic exposure to pre-IPO Anthropic
Interesting, 21Shares launched an Anthropic Synthetic ETP in Europe today, first 100% exposure to a private co or cos. Ticker $CLAU. To get the exposure they use total returns swaps on the Kaiko Anthropic USD Reference Rate which is derived from Binance's Anthropic perpetual futures. Prob no one in Europe will care but if they can figure out how to do this in the US (or some Asian countries) look out..

Insightful from Jason, but “global” startup data is mostly American data. The US 🇺🇸 has so many unicorns that its patterns become the average. I ran the same analysis on Europe: 564 unicorns, 1,215 founders. Unsurprisingly, Europe 🇪🇺 has its own story. 🧵
Founders who build $10B companies: • started at 29, not 38 • are 4x as likely to be dropouts • are less likely to have sold a company before I had AI profile 3,125 founders behind 1,739 unicorns. Most of what VCs screen for doesn't separate them. 🧵

The twist: ✈️ Europe has 46 $10B companies at home. But European founders built 19 more abroad, including some of the biggest ones, companies like Databricks, Stripe, Snowflake, Datadog, UiPath.

And Europeans who build in America look American: 66% studied or worked there first (vs 32% at home), with over 3x the Big Tech alumni. 🇺🇸 Stanford dropout, ex-Google: a profile for building in three Northern California counties, not for the world.

I agree that expanding this World Cup to 48 teams was a mistake. Belgium, a nation that has never won the World Cup or Euros is playing against 7 time African Champions, Egypt.

Meet Odessia. She plans and books entire trips in one conversation. Apparently, she's the goddess of travel.

My daughter just told me a bunch of Egypt facts and then said "many secrets still lie beneath the sands of Egypt" lol

During our second week in Zurich, @hany and I were mapping out growth targets: 5 million. 10 million. 50 million in AUM. Then Hany said: "What about 10 billion?" I thought it was ludicrous. We had zero at the time. 7 years later, we passed it. The ridiculously ambitious targets are the ones worth setting.
