Meet MAGAt Jonathan Parker, a prominent political strategist who was serving as the high-powered Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party when his career unraveled. In May 2019, shortly after his abrupt resignation from leading the state's GOP, Boise Police arrested the conservative operative on a felony first-degree stalking charge, pulling back the curtain on a disturbing pattern of behavior. The initial arrest exposed a bizarre and predatory incident where Parker was caught by law enforcement hiding in the bushes outside his estranged wife's apartment. Police discovered him wearing a wig as a disguise, masturbating, and attempting to peer through her windows. As investigators dug deeper throughout the summer of 2019, the allegations mounted, revealing he had also secretly copied a female colleague's house key to gain unauthorized access to her home. These revelations led to a barrage of additional charges, including misdemeanor trespassing, violation of a no-contact order, misdemeanor unlawful entry, and felony witness intimidation, which ultimately caused a judge to revoke his bond. The legal fallout culminated in December 2019 when Parker entered an Alford plea to resolve his mounting cases. He was formally convicted of felony first-degree stalking and misdemeanor unlawful entry, resulting in a sentence of five years of probation, a strict five-year no-contact order, and a brief 14-day jail stint. His freedom did not last, however, as probation officers conducting a compliance check in August 2021 discovered methamphetamine and alcohol at his residence. Parker tested positive for meth use, leading to his subsequent arrest for a felony probation violation and an additional felony charge for possession of a controlled substance.
