Yep. All my friends who aren’t in relationships are searching for the “right fit”, where this actually comes from growing into each other and ruthless commitment to the cause. Before I married my wife, I used to always say to her “I’ll never break up with you, so whatever happens we’ll just have to work it out because failure in this relationship isn’t an option”
Replying to @PalmerLuckey
“In keeping their options open, they ensure that they’re going to jump from option to option. If you don’t commit to a path, you’re going to fail at it … You have to commit to it to make it work, and I think marriage is the same way. You just have to commit to it. You have to say, ’This is the path I’m on. For better or for worse, I’m going to double down on it.’”

You’ll be glad to know we don’t have a tv in my household
WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners. Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads. Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. Got a root shell. then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems. This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

We mine uranium, have a reactor operating in Sydney and we’re preparing for nuclear-powered submarines. So why is nuclear power banned? We tried solving the debate on nuclear in Australia.

Someone is sitting waiting ready to gobble up absolutely every ounce of compute should markets get shakier
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

You won't find a finer example of the groundwork that is being laid at @build_aus than our recent National Service video. - Video publishes 9 October - @JoshFrydenberg announces the idea of National Service a couple of days later - @TheDailyAus releases a podcast debate this morning over mandatory national service We love to see it.

Alright fuck too much internal monologue sharing, I’ve condensed an entire week of posting into a single hour. Goodnight, tomorrow is Monday and it’s time to fucking fire up for another week.

The funny thing about Kevin Rudd going on ABC and commenting on Pauline (reasonable comments imo) is that despite all of that, which may be true, she is still ahead in the polls. Rather than asking “why is that?”, politicians in both Labor and liberal prefer to either cry like babies, or denounce her as being unserious. I may have missed it (I don’t read the news), but I haven’t seen any political leader admit that her rise is a failure of them. It’s only because the current status quo is so woefully poor that Pauline is ahead in the polls, it’s not because she’s great. Rather than criticising Pauline, why not take responsibility and accept that the Australian people are deeply unsatsified with what they have for choice today and are crying out for more pragmatic and self aware leadership.

The future of work is building a team of agents that can deliver outcomes. To achieve those outcomes, you may either internalise your compute, or externalise it. Similar to a contractor model. Contractors in the short term are incredibly useful when you need specific problems solved at a given price. How then, do you externalise compute? We’re going to need markets and platforms similar to Upwork, where you first draft the outcome you need, then put it into the market. Those then (human) contractors will deploy their agents to bid for the work. Their agents will be a highly optimised, crafted version of themselves. They will then bid and by bid, I mean deliver the outcome. Your agent (also optimised and crafted by you) will then select the best outcome for your task. This market will be 100x the size of Upwork.

See the problem with hating rich people and wanting to eradicate them from society, rather than welcome them and inspire them to contribute to their society in incredibly large ways, is that you won’t see outcomes like this become commonplace in the future. Was in an uber yesterday, talking about the cost of music concerts. You could imagine one day, Mike or Scott just say fuck it, music is incredibly important to Australian culture and social cohesion and so we want every Australian to be able to afford cheaper tickets. So they go and fund a new large music venue in each state, cut Ticketmaster out and bring in a new ticketing company, thus eradicating a toxic monopoly that inflates music prices. One may say weird example to use when the reference is a children’s hospital, but that’s the joy of life, you can (mostly) do whatever the fuck you want

Very cool, except for those that have no relationship with their parents for varying reasons. In which case, they get an even greater experience of both sadness and inspiration - 2 wonderful emotions to become a better person. So still, great outcome.
Yesterday we hosted "Bring Your Parents To Work Day" at @tenex_labs Every 2 weeks we do our company all-hands and its my SUPER BOWL. I love bringing everyone together and as we scale it's only gotten more fun (70 people today, 90 in a month). We always have someone on the team DJ, we demo our launches from the week, and we realign on where we're headed. Our company culture is our biggest strength and it's palpable, but the only way to really get it is to visit our office. So this week, we invited all parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, husbands, wives, and children (my 5-month old was there!!!) We wrapped up, as always, with a happy hour on the roof and it really felt like a huge family block party. This was one of the best things we've ever done and it's a testament to our people-first culture.

Stated preference vs revealed preference, or the derivatives of them are something that majority of people don’t consider when they see or read something online. Ken Griffin coming out and calling AI a bubble (be it his longer statement contextualised it a lot) doesn’t really tell us much at all, yet many read it and think the world is ending. Many in his position understand influence and they understand human nature. Many that take his comments and freak out are not thinking at all. A man who trades markets for a living has many incentives. Majority of what you see online is performative, or doesn’t represent one’s actual views of preferences. We all know this, yet we forget it daily.

No he doesn’t, Australian media doesn’t give a shit about him and it’s disgusting.
Question for the Aussies: Does Volk get covered back home like other global Aussie sports stars? He really should. One of the greatest ever regardless of weight class. I’m just curious if he gets the same love and respect in the media and mainstream, if you will.

When my older brother and I were young, we were obsessed with Pokémon and yugeho We collected everything, built up a huge portfolio of rare cards. My parents business partner at the time used to take us on weekends to collectible stores to pick up epic cards. They all sat in a single book. We lost that book somewhere along the way, no idea what happened. Don’t want to think about what it’d be worth.
JUST IN: Retired British man becomes a millionaire after discovering his old Pokémon card collection, stored in his attic for 15 years, is worth $2 million.

Alright for fucks sake, I’ve been parading around the house the last 6 weeks telling my wife how $meta is pumping and it’s about to go on a generational run. This has been after a year of her showing me the portfolio and explaining how my 2 choices (meta and btc) are the worst performers and all her picks are up big. Now meta is tanking again and I can’t let her see the stock price. There’s no way I can go back to the loser spot in the house. Any ideas for how I can keep her from seeing it? I don’t lie, nor do I hide anything from my wife BUT if she just never see’s it, then that’s her problem not mine.

If true, agent task markets may be the optimal way for companies and individuals to get work done. Being able to tap into a large network of distributed compute to get the very best outcome from those that are building agents to clone their existing craft and skills.

What people are failing to understand is that the internet is mostly going away. We’re not going to be scrolling random shitty websites for much longer, it’s all going to be accessible from our agents of choice. This doesn’t mean good design is going away, but beautiful websites will be like beautiful coffee shops on a Sunday morning. Relaxing, peaceful, allowing you to take a moment to enjoy life. Human web designers will always have a place, but it will be an acquired taste for the shit that really matters, not a random government website. This stuff should just be as functional as possible.
The WHITE HOUSE VIBE CODED their website 😂 And they didn't even hide it Go to fraud.gov and tell me that is not a raw opus 4.8 output Every experienced vibe coder I know, knows how to make the output look more natural. They could have easily used the "make it look less like AI" line - and didn't We have amateur vibe coders in the white house lol
