You Can See Everything needs to be seen in a theater. I keep thinking of how Siskel would always bring up the audience in his reviews and how they’d be laughing or not laughing. The crowd at my screening was totally in sync with laughter and stunned silence. Five stars, no notes.

The amount of dread and grief that runs throughout The Exorcist is so intense and unnerving. It really captures the feeling of trying to navigate life while the walls are closing in on you, especially with Jason Miller/Father Karras. What a picture.

It’s been a minute since I’ve watched it but this rewatch felt so much more bleak. You can only outrun the demons of your past for so long until it will inevitably catch up to you and swallow you whole.
